I'm a 57 year old man who has suffered in silence for 35 years with CPTSD. I discovered HI REN about 3 day's ago along with Chalk Outlines and i have watched both tracks literally nonstop, every single time both tracks cut me wide open. The raw vulnerability in his lyrics and performances are truly something to behold. For such a young man to have endured the lived experience is a tragedy in itself! REN is such a brave lad for exposing his vulnerability and sharing that for us!

I've seen alot of reaction videos to hi ren and it suprises me that no one has picked up on the shadows. When the bad side takes over he's looking towards the lighter shadow and when the good side side takes over he's looking towards the darker shadow. Normally with reaction videos I want guests to really verbalise what they’re interpreting. When reacting to Ren I fully appreciate why they get put in a trance and almost feel unable to interrupt. Yo I liked this guest line up! It was nice having a completely different perspective on this song. Seen so many artists giving their technical opinions on it and therapists etc. But hearing some mothers relating it to the self doubt they have as mothers was interesting. I'm a parent of a 2 year old and I get their view completely, yet it didn't occur to me to see it through that lens until today. I'd be interested in seeing their opinions as mothers on 'Dominoes', 'Su!c!de' and maybe 'Diazepam'? And maybe something more uplifting like 'Humble' so it's not all doom and gloom. 😂
