Bacha Khan, known as Abdul Ghaffar Khan, was a prominent political and social leader in South Asia during 20th century. Bacha Khan was Born in 1890 in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of British India, he was a staunch advocate for nonviolent resistance and social reform. Bacha Khan was a close ally of Mahatma Gandhi and played a crucial role in the Indian independence movement. He founded the Khudai Khidmatgar (Servants of God) movement, also known as the Red Shirts, which aimed to promote social justice, education, and the empowerment of the Pashtun people. Despite facing numerous hardships and imprisonment by British authorities, Bacha Khan remained committed to his principles of nonviolence and unity among different religious and ethnic communities.
