Great video fellas! The memories are the best, catching a fish is just bonus.

Sometimes it feels like you're the fisherman, other times it feels like you're being catfished by the speckles. But that's the feeling that keeps us wanting to bushwhack like you did here! At least you got a consolation at the end for your efforts. Good luck for the rest of September and for goodness sakes pack out your wacky worms!!!

It’s all a part of the hunt 😉 You’ve learnt that first hand already haha

This trip was more like all my trips 😂. Still worth the effort, great video.

Trips are great regardless! Few fish, lots of laughs, can’t beat it!

I've also found wackyworms in brookies before, its a damn shame. I look forward to seeing some more trips to bushwack lake number 1. The places with the slowest fishing often times produce the largest trout.

It is a shame but I guess it can be an honest mistake. Funny that nobody has popularized a biodegradable plastic bait yet! We might head back into there next spring for a weekend, we need redemption and plan on getting it! You’ve definitely got that right, low numbers but high size is generally the name of the game.

I've definitely been skunked on Trout lakes

This is the reality of probably half of our exploration trips! We normally don’t show it but it’s good memories either way and a motivator to get them next time!

got 2 five lb specks in the park on one trip . Both released .one in a lake just a few hundred m off Opeongo .

Nice! Were they stocked lakes or naturals?
@alexs34472 ай бұрын
@@TheAverageJoesFishingShow Naturals from Algonquin. My biggest was 6 lbs 2 oz but a stocked female caught NE of North Bay. Had it mounted and the guy painted it like a male. Did a nice job though .

What do you use when bushwhacking ? Just a map and a compass or do you use a gps
@TheAverageJoesFishingShow2 ай бұрын
Great question! With cellphone capabilities nowadays that’s all we use. We generally will preload maps for the area we are fishing and go off those. I have a subscription to OnX Hunt and use that as my GPS and will also track my routes and such, Lyle I believe uses the Algonquin BRMB app on his phone. No need for anything extra when we’re already bringing the phones and they work perfect for it!
