Why is Elemental Falling Behind?

Not only is this well broken down, but this is beautifully edited! The biggest issue we have right now is that many physical units (particularly swords) also hit elemental weaknesses, such as light, fire, wind, and dark. The more updates we get, the more elements are covered. Combined with the huge amounts of buffs you can put on physical damage, alongside mechanics such as weakness implants, there's simply no good reason to run elements in most cases. At times, units counter physical attacks, but there are many ways to mitigate that now (such as through Cecil or Fiore EX) that it's largely irrelevant. Physical is overwhelmingly favored.

the elemental team is summed up in osvald and lai mei, the supports still the same cigna, shana, prim EX, osvald doesn't need solon but if you want more dmg cap you use rinyuu EX, alrond is good to use the ultimate twice or even three times, with the arrival of dark cigna now the elemental teams can be stronger, osvald does all the work by himself... And if you want to do more damage with an elemental dps character, get an A4 that increases buffs by 50% and that's it, or else use Island, which is the same.

Could you compare Tatloch EX to Tiziano to show the difference between phys implant and elemental implant? Tatloch looks so crazy good I cannot imagine her not breaking the whole meta.

If we are only comparing Tatloch EX and Tiziano and their implants then I think these are their key differences: - Tiziano supports a stronger character that stayed at the top for almost 11 months iirc (and even now she's used as a sub DPS) while Dark Teams don't have a lot of good DPS characters sadly (altho Dark Signa brings useful support for Dark Teams, it's just that by bringing her you benefit more from her "PierceAllEle" skill with Pardis, DarkSaz and Kainé) - Tiziano brings more impactful buffs (EX Tatloch sadly doesn't provide Guaranteed Crit or allows Magic Crit for other people, but her EX skill is pretty good. Tiziano on the other hand has a stronger Ultimate imo while also providing GuarantedCrit to other units like Pardis or DarkSazantos) - Tatloch EX provides a ton of Shield Shaving with her passive which gives you a lot of leeway to apply more buffs/debuffs or even break earlier and alongside DarkSigna or Emil they're shaving a lot of shields, it's just that they are held back by their dps characters
