After spending 6 years car camping in my RAV4, I finally got myself a camper. Only 2 weeks in but the difference is crazy. From narrow hard bed that was never level and barely able to move inside, to sleeping in a double bed with memory foam mattress and the ability to stand up inside. Few modifications in progress and then off for a week to give it a proper test. Going to hit Scotland early December. Cannot wait

Fabulous Vlog Adam, we went out on the Billy Shiels boat trip to the Farne Islands. It really is something special, as we had a pod of dolphins following us for most of the trip. We stayed on the Beadnell bay campsite about 10 mins out out from Seahouses, it's a lovely part of the world. 👌👏👏👏

Down from Seahouses is a quiet parking place called THE STEADS right next to a golf course and you can walk to the sea in 2 minutes and Dunstanburgh Castle in about 30 minutes. Well worth the visit for the views from the castle top and if you go after 1730H the custodian is usually gone so free.

The Romans pushed well up into Scotland, they reached up to the highlands and explored but I don't think there was any resources there they were interested in and they built another big wall called the antonine wall which ran from the firth if Clyde to the firth of forth.

Love Seahouses, I'm just an hour away

@@wanderingwhere it works, I've been cooking my food on the induction stove for about 4 years now, love it, only ever use Low to Medium, mine actually tells me the temperature, so I keep it between 60 - 100 degrees and it flicks in and out most of the time, it seems to work.

I know people that live around the Berwick on tweed area and they use words that I've never heard before in normal conversation. and once I looked into it I found out that they're actually viking words that are still used today in that area. I can't remember exactly what they were but there was ones for boyfriend and girlfriend and hedgehogs, just loads of really weird words. Maybe someone from up there will add onto this with some of the local lingo?

LOL confusing the Geodie & Jock accent :-D Mind you the Northumberland dialect including Pitmatic can be as rich and varied as our beautiful seascapes, landscapes & people. Unless I'm working with a local poet, (example on my website) I always have to soften my Northumbrian tones so folks from "doon sooth" can understand without subtitles ;-) If you search youtube for "Bamburgh to Scottish Borders King Charles III England Coast Path" you can hear a gentler version of my accent on the Natural England promotional video - it's a canny nice walk too 🙂 . I hope to see you visit some of our fab castles, & it's always got to be Robson's smokehouse for Craster kippers, & "The Harbour View" chippy in Seaton Sluice for whale/(fish) and chips. Let me know if you're still up here & looking about for interesting places to go / visit - things like a castle built in one day for a bet, & finished by Starlight - or a harbour that had gates so they could wash the sediment out like flushing a netty.
@wanderingwhere
@wanderingwhere Ай бұрын
Bless you mate, never know up that way quite a bit could be cool buddy, love the accent but i guess its like a lot of places if its to an untrained ear can be a little difficult ( without subtitles lol ) 🙏👍

Odd question A... Where are those trousers from? They look great...bet they'll not do em in chunky bish size though 😂.. 3000 w.... Puts my little jackery and DC to DC/ leisure battery to shame 😂😂.. I camped all my life though so I mainly use rechargeable stuff and gas...so having leccy is novel to me now. I've been around East Coast recently and fell on awesome weather.. Rob dogs with parking fee out Flamborough way .. my ex is from Cumbria so I'm visiting them this next spring.. after watching your Cornwall trip ..I've decided to go in the MX5 and leaving van in Rothers... I'll hire a static for that one 😂😂

Erm I may get corrected but I did some checks on Christianity and Roman empire etc The Romans tried to invade Scotland in 79AD (give or take 10-20years) at which point they were Pagan. It wasn't until 392AD they adopted Christianity, so arguably you could say Christianity did what the Romans couldn't and ultimately took the Roman empire too. I may be corrected though I'm not an expert

Romans tortured Christians for not worshipping the emperor and fed us to lions for entertainment. Then they do the of you can't beat em then join em bit. And you an English person comes on KZbin talking chap about us. Don't the English like dictate many people even today? Don't try to talk like your cool with the Scotts, you wonder why every one doesn't like the English. I had to say some thing very rude of you.
