I work in tech too and I work ALL THE TIME. Taking Saturday not to do anything but I'll have to work Sunday just to have a "normal" week. Also tip for cleaning the microwave... microwave some vinegar for like 2-3 minutes and let it sit for a bit and then wipe everything off with a paper towel. Super easy and cleans all the grease and cooked on splatters.

Thank you for your honesty. It is very important for people to see the reality of careers they are interested in pursuing. We can make better decisions about career goals, opportunities, education, quality of life, etc when we see the real day to day circumstances. I am proud of your hard work. Remember to put your health and your long term goals first.

I'm sorry you are experiencing a bit of a rough patch. My mom always told me to be sure to reward yourself once a week (which gives you something to look forward to). Doesnt have to be major...a new makeup item, your favorite pastry, a thrifted sweater, etc. Just pick a day, pick a reward, and appreciate yourself for your hard work.

This is actually one of my favorite videos of yours, Julia! It can be so comforting to see people you look up to and admire on the internet be real about such normal struggles. It's a great reminder that no matter where we are in life or however much money we have in our bank accounts, we all struggle with similar things. The human experience is kinda just like that! This has been encouraging to me today :)

Thanks for putting out a vlog that shows what's really going on. It's nice to see the put together side of course, but that's not reality for anyone all of the time. Hope things get calmer for you soon

I love this. Raw and authentic is true, and esp how you mentioned that tech life isn't all always beautiful. The stressful periods are really stressful and the easy times are really easy, just like every other job. Been through stressful times at my IT testing job and it was not fun... i do not like being messaged in the middle of the night or OT >< You're doing great and i hope work doesn't dampen your mood for too long ❤❤

Really enjoyed seeing the hustle side of your life too, with its ups and downs. Makes me appreciate what I have and remember that everyone has tough days, regardless of whether they are working in a cool workplace or doing some regular work (etc. in a store or smth). Keep it up and all the strength and stamina to you, Julia!

These are the types of vlogs I enjoy as it shows me I'm not the only one who is "stuck at her computer" for a lot of the time and that it isn't all exciting "working from home" when you're a virtual worker (I'm more in the VA type of realm of work)

Thanks for sharing this video! In a sense, I really relate to this one. We are the same age and recently I've been feeling a lot like this at work. While I don't work in tech, but my current job is also one of those often glamorized. Work can be stressful and sometimes I'm so close to calling it quits lol. I need to keep reminding myself to find the balance between being grateful (that I have a job in this economy) and knowing my limits and what I value in life. I hope things get better soon for you. Stay healthy always!

Oh Julia, thank you for your kindness in sharing your days with us, even on your not-so-good days. That's why I like to watch you because you inspire me a lot to be a better person even on the days when I don't feel so good. Just before the scene where you sat on the couch to eat sushi I said to myself: ''Julia, how are you so hardworking, dedicated and still maintain an active social life as you do?! I would like to be your friend to learn to be like that, it inspires me!''. And soon after you appeared lying down with ''exhausted'' written on the screen... I immediately had the feeling that really, you can do all this but you feel anxious and tired. So try to get some rest, okay? Work is not everything in the world, take care of yourself dear =)

Hun, this is so relatable, I also work in tech as a data scientist and I love my job but hoboy it can be rough. But the times when things work, when you get an impossible job done, when you know that what you do makes SOMEone’s job that little easier to do … kind of makes up for those hard times and sleepless nights.

Nice classy blazer, parquet floors, brauer chairs, head board - all classy elegant sort of retro look. The screen notations help a lot clarify things. Another seemingly effortlessly choreographed video, you've got it down. Do you think you'll do tech always, or keep rising up the ladder to be a total manager or CFO? Will you retire early FIRE style? At least you're in NYC, what else can you do 🙂
