I work in tech too and I work ALL THE TIME. Taking Saturday not to do anything but I'll have to work Sunday just to have a "normal" week. Also tip for cleaning the microwave... microwave some vinegar for like 2-3 minutes and let it sit for a bit and then wipe everything off with a paper towel. Super easy and cleans all the grease and cooked on splatters.

I'm sorry you are experiencing a bit of a rough patch. My mom always told me to be sure to reward yourself once a week (which gives you something to look forward to). Doesnt have to be major...a new makeup item, your favorite pastry, a thrifted sweater, etc. Just pick a day, pick a reward, and appreciate yourself for your hard work.

I love this. Raw and authentic is true, and esp how you mentioned that tech life isn't all always beautiful. The stressful periods are really stressful and the easy times are really easy, just like every other job. Thanks for sharing this video! In a sense, I really relate to this one. We are the same age and recently I've been feeling a lot like this at work. While I don't work in tech, but my current job is also one of those often glamorized. Work can be stressful and sometimes I'm so close to calling it quits lol. I need to keep reminding myself to find the balance between being grateful (that I have a job in this economy) and knowing my limits and what I value in life. I hope things get better soon for you. Hun, this is so relatable, I also work in tech as a data scientist and I love my job but hoboy it can be rough. But the times when things work, when you get an impossible job done, when you know that what you do makes SOMEone’s job that little easier to do … kind of makes up for those hard times and sleepless nights.

Just a little advice, try getting a microwave steam cover and you'll rarely have to clean your microwave. You'll need to clean the cover but it's way easier to clean than a microwave. It changed my life lol. I HATE cleaning microwaves.

Great video. I am sick. I called out today. Last time I was sick, was like three years ago. I don't take off. It is super rare that i do. I am starting to feel better now. I am not too sure about going in. More likely I will. I just have a cough. My wife is going out tomorrow to see her friend from Canada. I told her to take Lance, our son. I just don't want them to get sick. I think it could be from the flu shot, but not too sure. I got the flu shot Wednesday around 4:30pm and that night I felt like my body was fighting something. Thursday early morning about 2:30am, I felt fine. I really for work and headed out 3am to meet my ride at 7-11. It was after work, I started coughing. It was that night I was not too sure I was going in. I woke up around 1:45am and 2:10am i texted my manager to let him know was not coming in. I felt bad about it, but I didn't want anyone to get sick from me. FedEx is a great place to work. You can make as much as you want. I normally work everyday and time to time work on the other shift in the afternoon. It has it's ups and downs. Peak is coming up soon. Right after Thanksgiving, we are blacked out to take off, into after New Year's. Everyone works six days. I already work seven. We need better worker's.
