Took the Figueroa Express bus from south of the Blue Line train (they were reno'ing and the track were all torn up) and had an hour long tour of my old hood, Compton to downtown. Fig. is a LONg, LONG street. many miles. What surprised me during the day was the number of SCHOOLS, how clean the parks were (lots of them) but the derelict vehicles jammed into all the small roadside apt. complexes guarantees ambulance call, cop calls, fire, and assist to seniors isn't going to be easy. TOW those derelicts. In Calif. we have to archive our registration on collector cars or you'll have trouble licensing them. Why are these vehicles not going to Portland to be made into REBAR???? it's a fire hazard. !!
