I like how offset was looking for common ground between them and I also like that he’s so strong within the interview that she actually lost character a few times and started just being her true self. It was really interesting to see about 3/4 of the way through the interview she dropped character a little bit when they were talking about the skydiving and actually the interview became a lot better in that moment. He’s not passive aggressive, she is. He’s counter offensive. It’s her brand of humor, to humiliate her guests where they are made to feel uncomfortable and look foolish to make her look good and get a laugh. She’s essentially a bully through passive aggression but is able to make funny content though it. While her content can be funny with this format, he was aware of her format beforehand by doing research, and gave her no opportunity to make him the butt of the joke for her benefit. That’s why it’s so satisfying. He destroyed a bully.
