Does this mean Thor summoned Storm before Apocalypse turned her into an Elemental basically? In regards to how she reacted to Thor though? You ever get in a woman's way when she's already fighting? You quickly become her target lol. This was a great issue. Beta Ray Bill looks good and is a nice return to form. It almost made me think of the time The Hammer (not spelling it) fell through dimensions and Dr. Doom, who was dead at the time, caught hold of the end of it and it pulled him back in to the land of the living. The Hammer isn't even Thor's to wield, it is it's own thing now. Unless I missed something? Edit: I Probably did miss a lot come to think of it, but if I did, help me out and point me in the right direction. lol

He didn't turn her into elemental so to speak. I was more like a magic spell and Storm being the host of that spell but needed ingredients. Apocalypse and the others were the ingredients because Ororo's magical ability that is in her blood is far greater. Think of it as a witch at her cauldron applying ingredients for a magical potion. She conjures the ingredients before intaking them all herself. Kind of what happened with Storm here so to speak. Apocalypse just supplied what she needed but assisted with the magic to help the witch lol. Apocalypse know all to well what is in Storm. He witnessed her ancestor Ayesha.

I think the moment she was taken from was X-men Red 16, when Roberto and Fisher King were fighting and asked where Storm was and suddenly she came flying back in and took out the Horseman of Apocalypse. Also Thor can Defeat or kill Storm if needed but Storm can defeat(Not necessarily Kill) Thor if she needs to as the comic mentioned. Difference isn't Power or access to mystics, it their need and strength, durability and magic knowledge. Which people forget Thor is incredibly skilled at magic he uses it for his powers. I always feel that gets skipped over when people talk about most powerful magic users. Thor is by default among the top of the list he juat doesn't do things like reality warping, psychic powers, time manipulation etc that's more Loki's thing, whose more traditional in his magic use.

I hate that whenever Storm is mentioned with Thor, it’s like … “he can kill her if he wants to.” so what? She can, hands down, put up a fight. The disrespect her character always gets. Look how long it took them to give her the title omega-level mutant. And when it’s time for her to show off, they make someone give her a power-up or unlock her abilities. Meanwhile, her temper made her become a rogue storm, and the black vortex mirror showed her as a goddess. She used magic in the Scarlet Witch series… and as soon as she shows up in Thor, everybody wants Thor to stomp her. Meanwhile, she can freeze him or stop him from breathing. I wish they let him strike her with lightning so she can say it doesn’t hurt her, either.

@@meld1391 Thor is a Skyfather. His mother is the Elder God Jord/Gaea and his father is Odin whose power he recently inherited. Thor can tap into the Phoenix Force. He can tap into the Power Cosmic without the permission of Galactus. Storm's power does not compare to Thor's.

Ewing made it very clear that she affected him with lightning and hurt him with pressure. Thor said in this issue that lightning is his friend just as it is hers and it will not choose to hurt either of them under their control. The pressure she used made him bleed and almost broke his back. Mind you, she was not trying to actually break him, but force him to send her back. Ewing is putting respect on Storm's name by allowing her to stand on her own. Thor is no different than any other character she's come across. He may be the god of thunder in marvel, but she is not under him like foster or beta ray. Storm is not an avatar of Thor's. That's why I hate this whole Thor Corp crap. I hate she ever got that stupid Storm caster hammer because the misconception that she is under him or subservient to his power is unnecessarily prevalent.

Nope. Pretty sure it'll work out in a way that he's made unavailable before the events of X-Men Red when Apocalypse using her in his elemental spell to raise Kaorak. This Toranos story may play out in such a way that Thor and Loki (and maybe Bill and Jane too) have to deal with a related or root problem, and they "trouble Storm no more" by letting her return to aid her people on Arakko before they get caught up in this next thing too big for them to ignore by going to her aid.

Taranis is NOT an elder God or part of the AsgardIan pantheon! He is part of the Celtic (Tuatha de Dannan) pantheon. Same guy, appearance, powers and wheel. He has already been depicted in both Doctor Strange and Black Knight comics in stories that are completely contradicted by what is happening. Modern Marvel know nothing about their own lore or Norse and Celtic mythology

Can someone answer this for me? Since Beta Ray Bill doesn't have his hammer, why didn't he transform back to his humanoid form? He should not look like his Beta Ray Thor form without his hammer, so why is he able to retain this form?

Beta Ray Bill is an alien whose original form looks like that, then gets more equine when powered up. They did once put him in an Earth human form, but he was restored between then and now.

You may have missed a lot. An Arc played out where Odin eventually got to move on from inhabiting Mjolnir. Heck, it's even unclear if the true Mother Storm is even still in Mjolnir since she got free in the sun at one point and merged with the essence of Mangog, and tried to off Thor.

In terms of meta-commentary, I loved how Thor told Storm that people will always ask who's stronger, or if he can arm wrestle the Hulk, or run as fast as Quicksilver, and the answer was that his strength is relative to the need for it in any task. "I can stand ANYTHING if the need is great and the cause is just." This was essentially Thor winking at the camera and telling us, the readers, that he'll always have whatever level of strength, speed, or skills are needed to come out on top because that's what the story will require. "Stop arguing fanboys, it's whatever the writers want." Lol. As I've always said, yes, Superman beat Thor in Avengers vs JLA, but that'll only stand until another writer comes along and decides to make Thor win, so who really cares at the end of the day? Lol

Thor could never just ‘take down’ THE GODDESS 😒 that’s the whole point of the line “you command the STORM, Thor. I command WEATHER-and not as a king on a throne. I command it as an equal. “Ororo Spoke True.” Outside of brute force and lightning, Thor’s abilities are limited in comparison to what Storm could do so outside of hand to hand, this goes to Storm easily.

lol Storm is not a "Goddess" nor is she a sorceress. Storm acted a fool on Thor about helping him but forgot how Thor showed up and showed out for the mutants during the real Mutant Massacre. Thor saved Angels life and countless of Morlocks lives. Thor brought scorched earth to the tunnels and cleaned out all the death that had taken place.
