Yeah just finished 50s book and you will understand why he is relevant today over the likes of Ja and many artists in the same era. 50 understood that the rap game was never going to last. He is a true hustler who made amazing moves, to position himself and understood that knowledge is a powerful tool. I listened to 50 growing up in HS but as a man, I put 50 up there with MJ, Michelle and Barack Obama, and Chef Ramsey of who I want to take their knowledge and apply it to my own life.

@@ECZephon you're still living with an ignorant mind state. Big homie, little homie, 50 doesn't care about any of that. 50 is a true hustler and understand of how to evolve as a man. That's why he is still making moves today vs the artists that came out the same time as him. He tried to get his G-Unit members to be up on game but they didn't listen. 50 evolved and used his up brining from the streets to be able to brush shoulders with people who actually make moves in the world.

He is a success story Preme always held him in regards due to his mother which Iam disappointed wasnt mentioned. its a vicious cycle of doing criminal acts and surviving the streets to prove you a gangsta which we really mean A man. 50 looked up to Preme. Bang Em, Ice 109, Jaffi, Ali, Halim, Malik looked up to 50. Guys like me, Trav, Dyce, joker we looked up to Bang Em and 50. Now the little young boys running wild are now looking up to us.

@@merlehawkins4907 you sound ignorant. Snitched on everybody? 🤣 Where? More often than not people snitch on themselves. Also run out of the hood? The hood isn't the place to be when you have money. Even those who were cool with you growing up, they'll feel entitled to your own work and will start looking at you with envy and jealousy if they feel like they aren't getting part of the things you worked hard for when they never put in the work in the first place. 50 has put back more money into the places he grow up with than the hood ever gave him. You sound stuck with a mentality of trying to look instead of understanding how to make moves and have something for your own life, family and being able to give back to the community. 50 is a person you can look up to as someone who was able to evolve himself, without ever forgetting his root. 50 is a lot smarter than people assume, he is able to learn from his mistakes, others mistakes and actually listen to wisdom. I suggest you do the same than holding into a street code that hasn't done much for your life. You don't have who you are or your root but maybe start learning from others on how to achieve success to get out in the world than being stuck of where you are.
@blowc1612
@blowc1612 Жыл бұрын
@@merlehawkins4907 you really think the FBI didn't already have that information? 🤣 There are a lot of actual snitches in the stretch who will give up information for a little piece. Heck some of them will talk to save themselves. The feds doesn't need 50 to talk, they have informants in the streets and people snitching on themselves. The feds have tapes of MLK admitting to his adultery, you think they can't get information about low level street dudes who aren't bigger than the block they claim. If the feds can take them bigger gangsters with bigger leverage, they can easily get information from local street gangs. They feds eventually was able to take down Escobar who had a whole country and had more money than fortune 500 companies. The US government has more control of the criminal world operates than you think. They don't need to get information from a rappers album. They were able to get information before cell phones, existed, today you have people themselves snitching on themselves. The feds doesn't care about small time crooks.

This is quite literally the most immersive and intriguing documentary I have ever watched. I am known for watching an unhealthy amount of them, but this was a masterclass. The background, old-school beat was immaculate at presenting this era. It was gritty and set a certain mood throughout the entire video. Kudos to you for the research and clips to back up your fantastic presentation. While the topic itself is grimey, I would recommend this to anyone really!

Even more in depth than Nas’ videography from where You “borrowed” a significant amount of material from. 50 actually paid homage to the SouthSide movement and and bathed the shadows in light. He actually feared none of them and His relentless caused a lot of problems as 50 became the proverbial blood smelling shark of the Long Island sound!! But he wasn't a gangster he was a snitch and stole his name from the real 50 cents who's doing life for running the hood 50 claims to be part of. 50 cent is just like Eminem and Tupac they raps about shit he sees. And act like it was shit they did. Yet the only street cred 50 has besides rapping is that he got shot. The rest of the street cred is shit he claims in his music and nobody verifies. They call this the studio gangster.

I have watched a couple 50 Cent videos explaining what happened but this one is by far the best one, you mentioned everything, the other guys making the videos left out like 80% of the information. Good job man, this had to take a huge amount of time to make. You even included the parts of the songs where he mentions certain things.

This documentary deserves an award for real! I grew up in the era and honestly had no idea how connected a lot of that shit was! It shows why 50 has the mentality he does and why he doesn't fear anyone or any situation he's in. Also why loyalty is premo with him! However the main thing I got from this is If you wanna increase your chances of getting through this type of lifestyle you need to have the philosophy of and move like Gerald Wallace.

I grew up in the 80s and 90s right across the street from the Coliseum Mall. Use to trade Nintendo games with Prince's son. My mother was good friends with Supreme's sister. I knew or seen most of these guys mentioned here on a regular basis. I was a kid back then, so I definitely didn't run with them. It's just crazy how close I was to all of this, and barely knew what was going on. The streets would always talk, but everybody had their own versions of stories.
