I think it’s always a challenge to learn ballet or dancing when you are an adult. It’s usually harder then when you are a child. And that’s why I am impressed with their passion. I realised how much physical demanding ballet is and amazed how the women pick up so fast especially Yoona and sung eun
@ArtisticAsian10147 жыл бұрын
Anh Ho agree. It is not only physically but also mentally challenging. Physical is obvious but mentally you have so many things to think off (feet.legs,arms,head,the next etc )at same time while not showing how difficult it is. Also you while doing a move you need to be thinking of the next step. Also not fearing an attempt but just going for it/a move. I was doing ballet for a few years befor taking a jazz class. Even a change in style is mentally challenging as the muscle memory wants to do turn out when it's suppose not to be. It is I guess easier to have been doing dance at least and then changing style then jumping in with no training. I give them props for this challenge. They're okay as first time students well 3/4 of them. Does anyone know what injury led to the end of one of thems ballet career?

ArtisticAsian1014 Ji Won has a fractured pelvis. During the show, she when to the physio treatment where they discussed the issue. I find it so sad for her. She was talented when she was young and it's so unfortunate that she had to quit due to injury. I can see how hard it is for her to decide to join this show but I am glad she sees this as an opportunity to say farewell to ballet and have no regret. I became her fan now. I am also glad she finds another dreams in her life other than ballet and becomes an actress.

ZirraAkuatic lol that's true but hey you never know my dance teacher is really nice, and strict when she is in front of any camera lol
@izco20547 жыл бұрын
My teacher always yelled at me during class too and I'm actually really happy she did. She retired last year and we got a new teacher who was extremely nice but I wasn't improving as much as I did with my old teacher. My old teacher was strict during practice but the moment it ended she was really nice and it shows that she's just doing it to help us and she had more faith in us than we did in ourselves. Sometimes stricter teachers are better and even if they don't show it, they mean a lot more and wish for your success.
@weiyu21117 жыл бұрын
honestly, i think that stricter ballet teachers tend to be better. i’ve been doing classical ballet since i was three years old, and i’ve learned that more lax teachers tend to be nicer, but stricter teachers help with learning better. especially for a style like ballet, where technique is really important, stricter is better.

They also use the same technique for figure skating, when skaters are spinning on the ice, they have to hold their gaze. So out of topic but spotting reminded me of figure skating as well lol.
@allewalkers7 жыл бұрын
most of the times figure skaters don't spot because it would slow down their spins, also some positions simple dont let you spot (:
@antiawarenessawarenessclub7 жыл бұрын
I guess the important question is, how do figure skaters not get dizzy when they turn?
@allewalkers7 жыл бұрын
Theres no other option but to get used to it lol, its like we force our bodies to not feel dizzy and soon the brain follows. I just started doing figure skating and may not be very good at spins yet but it is indeed like that!
@daria58465 жыл бұрын
f Forecast We do take ballet tho. To learn how to move our upper bodies. But some parts of the technique can’t be used because it affects the quality of the skating.
@kawaiibunnbunn5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they don't. They use a different technique. I was mistaken, and thought more about it. I know someone who figure skated for 12 years and they just said that they have to keep track of a single point, fix their eyes on it and focus on it(?) can't remember what she said but she did corrected me that they do something more different than spotting. She said that her body eventually got used to the spins and her head tolerated the throbbing pain from dizziness.

@reganred12707 жыл бұрын
exo legend uh. it’s kind of easier to go for a lesson instead because it’s hard to learn just like that. there won’t be anyone to tell you whether your form is wrong. leg is going to the side instead of back and to correct you on the steps and momentum. and whether you are sitting or leaning back when doing a grandbattement. also it takes many years to learn how to spot really well. i’ve been dancing for 8yrs and many of us still have a bit of trouble with out pirouettes. maximum 2. Also spottin isn’t only looking at one spot. it’s leaving the head behind without bending your neck which remains straight then once you cannot look anymore your woo your head and it’s first to arrive at the spot again. In pirouettes it has to be done really fast especially when you shase turn.
@watchlovestanexo7 жыл бұрын
Jessica Lee Sze Hui Yes you’re right but unfortunately we don’t have any ballet classes for adult here :(

It's interesting how differently they teach them to do these. I've always been taught that fourth position should be evenly balanced on both legs. Maybe I should try this instead???
@izco20547 жыл бұрын
Vena Qin fourth position should be equally balanced with the exception of doing pirouettes. When you turn it would be really hard if both are equal however almost everything else there should be equal weight (I'm saying almost cause there are some other cases where fourth should be unequal weights but I don't wanna get into all the specifics😂) But yea try this way, it'll help you a lot!
