My canary stopped singing few days ago it gone into hibernation under newspaper in cage lying on its back not moving. How long do they hibernation for

Same , but mine passed away since we didn’t give serious care now I have 2 budgies I care for them alot more then I cared for the canary

I just got a canary yesterday and he is a male, he isn't singing yet because it takes time for them to settle into a new environment, can take up to a week. He is however chirping softly here and there so he's not completely mute
