Both yes and no, you see it's most useful if you use surround sound and stuff, but even without surround sound it very effective, as when you watch that angle and hear the footsteps then yk where the enemy if they enter. Blue mats are practically everywhere in basement.

@@RetroRonin-nf1qg there's not really a point to extra sound until they fix the sound engine. It helps a lot more to get the general location, and combining where the sound is and the tarps unique sound, it makes it easy.

Well considering that the sound for the game is messed up for me it won’t even matter. Anyone know how to fix this btw? I play on Xbox and I can hear my teammates walking and it’s super loud. whenever someone is near me it basically sounds like they are everywhere so I have to constantly change where I’m aiming. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but yeah

it's not that its louder it just makes a different sound than a walking sound i knew this I've been playing since burnt horizon i used to tell my squad quietly walk over the mats because it makes a rustling sound they told me I'm insane it doesn't make any difference i only noticed it myself from 1v1s on clubhouse construction i also never knew you could shoot them i thought impacts/explosive effects can only damage the mats kinda crazy this game is what how old yet people have ways of finding out new stuff its crazy

Yeah that's the point, pro players. In standard ranked I always, always close it off, even if someone made a rotation. People do it cause they see pro player doing it but got no clue of how to actually play it and just die instantly, immediately fucking the whole round for us
