Because Haru's setup is that he has nothing to do with Danoh and therefore is not able to share the stage of visiting Danoh at the hospital. Whilst it is unintentional on the writer's part but it is still cruel to us viewers who gets to see what's going on beyond the stage and within the shadow.

If I remember correctly, in ep 17-18, where Haru remembered everything again, he could get out of the school and found Danoh since it was the shadow. However, I just still wonder why this scene kept dragging him back even if it was shadow for both of them.
