The Red Circus Arc was Great (Spy x Family)

I know that this wasn’t the main part of the arc but Melinda reaction to Damian mentioning Donovan really builds up to the mystery behind this family and it makes me want to see the older brother even more because as Damien said he doesn’t have much of a relationship with his family so I don’t think we’ll be getting much information through him, but with the big brother we might start to get the picture. 11:47

When Melinda invited Yor to play volley ball she just sounded competitive but Melinda seeing Donvan after the Red circus arc was confusing at best

For me personally my favorite moment was in the end which you didn't when the parents meet the kids. For people wondering Loid was away on a mission in another place and Yor had no clue what was going on like many all the other parents when she did find out she rushed to the bus sight. Loid legit left his Misson midway to come and check the scene for himself ( in a disguise) he arrives when everyone is safe. I found that cutest moment of all. Also Anya now prefers to be known as Double starlight anya 😅

Anya has put her life on the line for every star She put her life on the line to save Twilight in the Bond arc from a bomb she put her life on the line to save Thorn princess in the cruse arc And told Twilight throw the CLOCK/bomb overboard to save the ship. Anya may have many flaws but she is brave

I liked that this arc finally highlighted just how dangerous it can be to be a student at eden. I hope Yuri will get a long arc soon. One that makes him even closer to Anya/sees her as his niece.

What I really love about this arc is how it proceeds plans A and B! Anya supporting Damian and Damian complimenting Anya was so wholesome! It was also pretty intriguing how you see Melinda at first emotional and worried about Damian... then makes him promise to not tell Donovan that she came to see him... before then thinking she wished he died in the bus hijack 😧 And Anya is witnessing this whole moment in front of her, including Melinda's dark thoughts... The thoughts Fiona, Yuri, and I guess Becky too, make Anya sick, and we all see how she gets shocked at Yor's thoughts endlessly, ... but then you have the thoughts of Melinda...

My jaw fucking DROPPED when they strapped a bomb on Anya's chest. I almost kinda wished they went longer before revealing it was fake, because it really added to the suspense. No other arc has ever had that feeling of real suspense and consequences for me.

Thank you so much for this. I loved this arc and the character development of the kids so much and this arc gets so much undeserved hate for focusing on the kids and not having Twiyor in it. There will be Twiyor. Let the kids have some time in the spotlight as well. Especially since Damian's development might have pretty far-reaching consequences if he ever should indeed become an important politician like his father.

Twiyor isn’t the main reason people say this arc sucks, it’s the ending and how it was used. Like if your going to bring back the red circus get yor involved, she’s fought them after all. And I know he’s a spy and all but.. your (fake) daughter could of died. And you sitting here looking dumb like “I’ll make her something good or smth.” TF?? 😭

@@user-ku7oq1qe7k Funny how you say Twiyor wasn't the reason and then you state that the reason it sucks was because Loid and Yor weren't involved. The arc wasn't about them. It was to flesh out and develop the kids and to move the Damianya dynamic forward - and also some more world building on Ostanian politics

@@user-ku7oq1qe7k Personally, I don't think the consequences of the hijacking were explored enough; for example, in chapter 77, one of the teachers (Thomas Austin) goes to Loid for counseling and I was pretty excited to see this exchange because I thought it would explore the trauma the hijacking inflicted on both the students and the staff but it turns out that Mr. Austin is actually suffering from his unhappy marriage because of his fear of his (unsightly) wife. This wasn't terrible but I felt the chapter missed the opportunity to address what I wished for earlier. On a side note, it was refreshing to see Loid interact with his patients as that's rarely ever shown in the manga.

Yeah exactly I mean we don't really need Yor and Loid because I don't think it would be exciting plus because we also don't really need them and Anya would be fine since she's a telepath and there is Yuri too, Mr Henderson and Martha. But that doesn't mean they don't worry about her either just because they were not involved

I really liked the fact that mommy and daddy weren’t here to help for once. Anya could learn how to face the real hardships and realize it’s not as easy as in yhe cartoon. But I HATED the fact that Loid was so relaxed instead of worrying like Yor’. I know he’s used to these things but it shows how their relationship didn’t improve as much as we think’

Unlike Yor, who nurtured a younger brother, loid was mostly alone, without anyone dear / close to him to be called a family. Also, as a spy, it's important for him to not to entertain emotions of any kind, which can be manipulated by his enemies. So it's natural for loid to not to develop his father aspect much 🙂

Later on I slowly understand how people are disappointed at Loid not being as emotional as Yor, but they gotta recall that Loid is all about locking in emotions. Idk how it could've been better, but at least it was funny how Loid acknowledged that the situation must've traumatized Anya, then discovering it didn't 😆

Idk I thought Loid is worried too since he comes too to make sure Anya is ok. He doesn't seem so emotional but I think he really was worried about her too like Yor. Because he is a Spy he can show his emotion that much

I think that forget the true power of spy family that message noone is island no matter how badass u are as single person there a limit to what one can accomplish but when team people who different strengths even single family and more to change the world than a single person

I genuinely don’t know how to feel about Melinda. On one hand, shes very nice to Yor. But on the other, she had some pretty harsh feelings about Damian which really set me off. For now, I think shes just a little crazy.
