In the intro with red standing on the dock with his fishing pole and saying his intro lines is superb lighting . The artificial light on Red and the dusk sky behind are in perfect balance . neither overwhelmes the other . cheers to the on location: producer, director, camera operator, lighting guys and production crew !

I like the earlier episodes/seasons better. The format changed a few times but towards the end of the show the last few seasons seemed a bit repetitive and very minimal cast. Don’t get me wrong I still love the show start to finish, the early seasons just have more to them

Because Canadians drive American cars.
@thebigone5457 жыл бұрын
Canadian still use both systems. It only kids under 25 who were raised taught the metric system in schools. I know distance in kilometers, size in inches and feet, weight in pounds, and volume by litres. We are beyond fucked.
@rmiller4157 жыл бұрын
Canada didn't use the metric system until the 1970's, after Red Green and his friends had finished school.
@Cramblit5 жыл бұрын
They used the Imperial system on the show because Canada uses both metrics, and America only uses Imperial system, and this show was a huge hit to both countries at its time, so it made sense.
@laurenceperkins74685 жыл бұрын
@@Cramblit America doesn't use the Imperial system. America uses ACS. They're both variants of avoirdupois so there's a lot of overlap, but even before Canada went metric a gallon in Canada wasn't the same as a gallon in America.

Electrical engineers design the grid so that is will supply all its customers, so each transformer at each and every customers house(near the house on a pole or in a durable enclosure on the ground) it is already designed to allow only so much energy. So if an idiot ignored his set limit then he would only burn his own shit out, and the grid will work fine the whole time. So , the guy with the electric fence can do anything he wants, hook it up wrong, backwards, or try to draw 100 time his set amount, he will only burn his own shit(transformer, wires, maybe even house, etc...) out/up. Nicola Tesla blew out a generator at the power company, that would cause a blackout in the whole city. But he fed energy back into the grid in an experiment, so much it blacked out the city from burning out the grids generator. But that is different from consuming energy, you can try to consume too much and it won't cause the grid to fail, your stuff(transformer, wires, ) will first become too hot and burn up before it burns up the grid, but if you feed back too much it could burn it up, but it could also still burn your stuff(transformer, wires, etc...) too. No worries, not many people have access to the amount of energy to feed into the grid like that enough to burn it out. But the Tesla coil in Tesla's experiment is capable of doing just that, giving out huge surges. But the part many people fail to understand about Tesla's experiment is that he was connected to the grid, he didn't really create energy from nowhere, he took the energy from the grid, built it up in HUGE coils and it surged back into the grid. His later Tesla coil experiments help guard against that. Many people don't want to acknowledge that Tesla got the power from the grid, but he did that is why it was connected and how he burned out the generator. And if they do have access to that level experiment and they burn out the grid, they will get a bill and it won't be happening again unless they like a huge repair bill again. They know how to track where the surge came. Nowadays they would never allow you to have that level of project unless you were a government subject in secret experiment hidden from the public somewhere. But Tesla did know about electricity waiting for us to tap, but the truth is we never got that far, the tyrants took the shit underground. How do they do it(stop your experiments) you ask, easy, the tyrants label it a "national security risk" and shut you down, then the thieves(the SAME tyrants) take your work and go underground having their government subjects(regulr citizens going to work everyday who signed the stupid immoral agreements, etc...) developing it for them. FYI those tyrants are also the owners of this planet, i call them the overlords, they have been called the elite .01% ruling class, they are the masters of your reality, especially if you don't know about them and wtf they are doing here. But before i say anything more i want to be clear that they are not the rightful, or legitimate owners, but they are the owners thru your/our ignorance and fear, making them the legal owners. The more you know about and align to the truth so it won't burn your ass, the less and less those MF tyrants own you, because that is how they do it ,thru your own ignorance and fear. Hint: So don't use ignorance or fear to make decisions, not that i am accusing you of doing it, but don't do it if you want the things you say you want, and pray about. Especially don't use ignorance or fear when facing business with government, if you pull this off successfully then you won't be doing any business with federal government(privately owned and controlled corporation), that is the kicker to some people can't believe it, but it is the truth. Now before i end, one more thing to be clear about, this comment is not anti government, or anti private corporation, it is only anti privately owned and controlled corporation pretending to be a public government! How many of you knew your federal government was a privately owned and controlled corporation? This applies all over the world, but i am mainly referring to what we refer to as the west side of earth, where i know more about.

@17:00 a "deuterium fission reactor"? I thought fusion was combining deuterium and tritium, two isotopes of hydrogen. For fission, you want Uranium, Plutonium, or some other heavy, radioactive metal. They're not the same thing at all! ...I wonder if the writers knew that at the time they wrote it? Who knows? They might've.
@micahbush53972 жыл бұрын
The deuterium in a CANDU reactor is part of the water used as a coolant and neutron moderator (heavy water has different properties than standard water). It isn't directly involved in fusion or fission.
