There was something very similar to that in the comics. A pirate captain was dealing with a mutiny when a predator showed up. The Captain and The Predator teamed up briefly to get rid of the crew. Then they were going to 1v1 but a crew member got a lucky shot before death and mortally wounded the captain. Before dying the captain gave the predator his gun, the predator buried him out of respect.
