It's been so long since I've read them so we'll have to agree to disagree because the third book was my favourite by far! Loved Evangeline's development as well, really awesome to see the stereotypical mean girl grow

I read this series a few years ago. I enjoyed the series a lot. For me quite a bit of thr plot was predictable. However it went more into detail and covered so many of the characters in the last one that I really liked the change of pace. My favourite character was Mare because we spent the most time with her. I also liked her sister, Cal, and the other characters with the lightning powers? They were cool too. Other than their powers we didn't get much back story with them. It seemed sort of surface level for the main story, which is fine. By the 4th book I kept mixing up characters and storyline in my head. I liked Evangeline as a character by the 4th book because she's such a strong character, considering all the stuff she went through.

You should totally read broken throne. it gives you a story of mare and cal after they have their time away, and a bunch of other novellas as well including on about cal's mom !!!

I have a question.. there is other 2 books names cruel crown and broken throne are those related to this series? Or is it another separate story?

They are related! I believe the cruel crown is in Mavens mothers POV and broken throne is where the story continues a bit. I'm positive about the cruel crown but I could be off on the second book!
