Welcome to the RedRenna Isle of Man spectator guide! I will show you all of the spots I have watched at, whilst taking you on a whirlwind tour of the track. I will also be giving you guys some useful (and not so useful) tips along the way. This video is aimed at people who have never been to the TT before, and want to get ideas about which spots are good (or not so good) for watch the races. This was filmed during TT 2016, please note that spectator points sometimes change to "off limits" at the discretion of the marshals on the day.

Regarding Guthries. Watched from there in 16 - walked up there from the Gooseneck - that walk is not recommended. However i learned that you can actually park on the right hand side in a small parking space around where the Marshalls stand. You can then cross under the road via a creek - fantastic spot for spectating. Also worth trying is the top AND bottom of Barregarrow. Space is limited at the bottom so come early - however you get the most insane look at commitment as the riders tackle the bottom af Barregarrow. There is a small footpath connecting these two spots, and at the top there is food and a toilet. Keppel gate is really worth the walk up from Creg Ny Bae. Also try stopping half way between Kates cottage and the Creg where there is a crest in the road. For an impression of speed on a traning day try Crosby crossroads where the B35 and A23 meets the course - nice jumps there. At the end of Cronk-Y-Voddy at the 11 mile marker (Molyneux's) is my favourite spot.

Good video, and some useful tips. You can get to Guthries on an off road bike, there's a forest track which comes out where the marshals park just after Guthries and before the 27th. You can also ride up and park there before roads close (leave plenty of space for the marshals as they come up in convoy after roads close), but you are stuck there until roads open so not good if the weather turns

Hi, at 12:23 you ask about the big dome building, that is a salt and grit barn for the gritters when it is icy on the roads...I know because I put all the floodlights in it . Hope you enjoyed your visits to the island. Regards Mark.

Red, It's Thanksgiving Eve, in the U.S. I'm watching your videos on KZbin. Also, I've been texting Lady M/Cists from all over the place. I get into contact with them, from "Facebook." I always say, "be sure to check out Captain Rambunctious, & let Red Renna take you to the IOMTT." I've been talking to a French Lady, named Sandrine Stepe. Sandrine is in her 40s. Enjoy Motherhood. I think the thing with the bridge is if you dropped stuff (your phone, drink, food, crisp packet, etc) it'd fall onto the track, which is obviously bad.

Hi Red!! So we're camping at Quarter Bridge and want to watch from Rhen Cullen, what time would you truly recommend setting off in the morning on motor bike to avoid all the horrible bike traffic. I went in 1990 and I don't remember it been as busy as it looks in your vlogs. I'm taking my son(21) for the first time. Thanks.. X
@RedRenna
@RedRenna 5 жыл бұрын
+Chris Elliott it is super busy yes, I always tried to get to my spot two hours before the roads close, to make sure I can get a good view, and the roads are less crazy. Take plenty of water, sun protection, a radio, and lots of food!!!

hi. sorry to bother you. just wanna say how useful I have found your blogs on the isle of man tt. I am heading there this year for the first time and cant wait. I was just wondering if you would be able to tell me what video editing software you use, especially where you manage to get what you are viewing in front, and a camera viewing you in the same scene too? at the mo I only have gopro studio which is rather limited. any info would be great. many thanks for reading and keep up the good work 👍

So buying tickets is not necessary I take it.. ? How do you get around the island each day to those spots? Ride?
@RedRenna
@RedRenna 5 жыл бұрын
+Lee Takeuchi the only tickets necessary are the ferry tickets! And yes riding to the spectator spots is the best way to get around. And lots of spots have bike parking areas in fields nearby.

Do you HAVE to buy tickets for the TT to enter? Or can you literally just buy the ferry tickets and camp out somewhere to watch the races?
@RedRenna
@RedRenna 7 жыл бұрын
You have to buy ferry tickets (one year in advance as they sell out) and it is a very good idea to find accommodation or book a camping spot before you go :) there are usually only very small charges at a few of the more popular and smaller spectator spots, usually under £5 for a whole day, and this goes towards a charity on the island, or the local church roof fund or whatever.
