Reel Rejects are doing their best to carry on the Wildberries legacy, and I love it. The pride did get the win when they got opponents choice, so props for that. I still think either Final Exam or Deep 13 will TKO them whenever that match happens.

Yeah... Rachel isn't good enough at round 1 and they're too similar in age. They're both 90s kids hence the week 80s category. Alonso, Witney and Lon all have much better repertoires and Paul is just freaky good haha

The best Team's in this league almost all have one thing in common: teammates who cover each other's weaknesses. The Pride has pretty decent movie knowledge, but they seem to have an almost complete overlap of each other's strengths, so any weaknesses are going to hit them both. They navigated 80's pretty well all things considered, but it was clear this weakness is something that can be exploited on them both. The only strength I see that they don't seem to overlap is Rachel's knowledge in Kevin Smith movies. Both Deep 13 and Final Exam cover each other's weaknesses pretty well, so the Pride will need to really up their gameplay if they want to beat either team.

Rocha put it best a couple years ago when it was going to be Top 10 vs the Reel Rejects at the start of the Ultimate Schmoedown tournament: "This is not a team that should be ranked 16th." The Rejects are one of the unluckiest teams in the league, and I love them every time they compete. Both Greg and Jon have shown a lot of skill before, they just never seem to be able to get it to go there way.

Justin Clowater, that’s so true. None of their losses are ever blowouts (at least that I can remember). I feel like they could win against pretty much any team that isn’t named the patriots or shirewolves, it just seems to almost never go their way

The best teams in the league all have teammates who can cover each other's weaknesses, and I feel like The Pride has such an overlap in their strengths that weaknesses could potentially hit them both pretty hard. They both have pretty good film knowledge, but I think they're going to need to play much better than this if they want to have a chance against either of those other teams.

Ailieorz You’re right, a win is a win. They’re 2-0 no matter how you spin it. But we’d be kidding ourselves if we pretended they played high caliber competition thus far. They could study all day and night, but the team they’ll be playing next are not exactly teams that extra studying will help defeat. Both Ben and Rachel have a wide range of knowledge, but they were hit hard by a big category. After Ben’s performance in the LOTR match, I think he has a good shot in IG to be in title contention if he’s even half as good in the other category’s

That was a very sloppy match from both teams. If The Pride perform like that against a top tier team, they'll get beat. Reel Rejects couldn't have picked 3 worse categories in round 3. Romance, dance films and Pixar. And that 5 pointer was tough. I hope this isn't the end for Reel Rejects since they are now 2-6 because they are fucking awesome. I mean, just look at that entrance

Borgus17 I thought this was one of the easier 5 pointers. Felt like a 3 pointer when they added the “and motto” part. It’s the whole point of the movie. Not everyone can cook, but “anyone” can cook. They mention it multiple times in the film. It’s not like a “what color is the blah blah blah” question.

Thoughts: Reel Rejects are Wildberries 2.0, but better? And if people want to complain about difficult 5 pointers, a lot of people would see theirs as difficult. I got the answer halfway through the question and thought that was a 3-pointer and I wouldn’t have been surprised to see it as a 2-pointer. It’s just the way questions work. Some people knowing a question doesn’t make it easy

Um, The Reel Rejects have been around way longer than this one hit wonder team The Pride (and I agree with others, that they will get destroyed by Deep 13 and especially Final Exam lmao) and have a longer history with The Schmoedown, so of course their the favorites over you.
