Breeta isn't a primordial she's a greater demon,.. demons strength comes for their age meaning the older they are the stronger they are, in other word the primordials(meaning first) are the oldest there for the strongest, and each primordial was born with there respected color leading the birth of other demons to that colors, so Beretta is from the "black" lineage,. Oh and they left it out but Diablo doesn't necessarily like working with ppl and because of that his color has very little descendents compared to the others meaning Beretta being part of the black lineage means she's pretty special, and that y Guy was surprised to learn that Noir/Diablo out of all ppl was serving rimiru

@@kenny-zb2fj After being named and got a golem body, from Greater Demon, Beretta became an Arch Doll, an equivalent of Archdemon (and became she too?), then after Rimuru ascended to became a True Demon Lord, she/he became a Chaos Arch Doll (if I'm not mistaken) with special ability to switch cores from dark/demon core to light/holy core called Chaos Core, make him/her very special and the only one who had that kind of power, and that core example was duplicated by Rimuru to create Treyni's body too.

I don't think they ever explained it in the LN as to how primordial demons gave "birth" to other demons... my theory is they used the "souls" they collected (either from contract or "harvest") ? but yeah, basically each primordial demon has their own "children", each have their own "preferences". Noir/Black/Diablo is a "weirdo" among demons, so his "descendants" are also weirdos (like Beretta here).

Venom is a special demon because he had consciousness from the beginning he was born. He was reincarnated like Rimuru, not into a slime but a demon.

This is info on the demon race that I posted as a reply in the Tensura fandom awhile back. It contains no spoiler so feel free to read it. The demons are separated into 7 colors depending on their personality when they become a greater demon, each referred to by their colors before getting names. Red(Rouge), prideful Black(Noir), mischievous/ all over the place White(Blanc), intelligent Green(Vert), hardworking/dilligent Blue(Bleu), Lazy Yellow(Jaune), Destructive Purple(Violet), Violent The demons have a very strong caste system which means segregation by class and disrespect from the lower class towards the upper class is taken very seriously, sometimes punishable by permanent death(Diablo to Orthos). There a 2 methods of classification, by species and by age. The species classification comes mainly from strength, a demon starts from being a lesser demon, after obtaining strength, from getting named/fighting/etc they evolve to a greater demon and to an Archdemon. This is the natural evolutionary stage of the demon race. However, there exists one more species above Archdemon called the Demon Peer, evolving to this species is extremely difficult because of the balance system created by the Angels. The only way to become a Demon Peer is for a strong Archdemon to obtain a name, which is unusual because most who names an Archdemon usually dies from magicule necrosis. The second classification is by age which is divided into Chavalier, Baronet, Baron, Viscount, Count, Marquis, Duke, Archduke, Primordials. This is purely division by age, meaning that even a young demon from baron class can become an Archdemon. Chavalier(0-30years old) Baronet(30-100) Baron(100-400) Viscount(400-1000) Count(1000-3000) Marquis(3000-5000) Duke(5000-10000) Archduke(10000+) The primordial class is untouchable and belongs to only 7 demons. Each demon being the first demon to emerge from each of the 7 color lineages.

Beretta was a Greater Demon that was infused into a Doll made her a Greater Doll Golem, then named by Rimuru, made her an Arch Doll Golem which is basically an Arch Demon infused to a Doll Golem, After Rimuru's Awakening, being named by Rimuru, Beretta again evolved to a Chaos Doll which is basically comparable to Demon Peer. Note that even among Primordial Demons there are power Gaps. Also, Primordial Demon cannot be obtained by Evolution. They're basically the very first demons divided by color and there are only 7 of them.

you cant use primordial the same way you use a evolutionary stage like archdemon. "Primordial Demon > Demon Peer" is not right. Like you said in the end primordial just means oldest of their colour. not more not less. and lesser demon, archdemon and so on are evolutionary stages. for example a normal demon (like Baretta) can evolve to demon peer while a primordial is staying at archdemon(like Diablo when he was summoned). that means primordials dont have to be the strongest. and this is even more true in the real world. In the demon realm its all about age+evolutionary stage. the older you are and the higher your evolution the stronger you are. but that changes a bit in the real world. the quality of the body you have or dont have, has a huge impact. same demons in the real world, one with and one without body, the one with body will always win.

Rather than Primordial I think Progenitor would have been a better (or at least more accurate) translation. Beretta isnt one of those, last Ep. was supposed to imply that they were part of Black's "family line" you could say and thus shared many of Black's traits. CLARIFICATION ON BERETTA AND THE PRIMORDIALS: The Primordials aren't Greater Demons at all. Greater Demons are FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR inferior to the primordial's demon status. I don't want to spoil the whole demon race evolution tree/hierarchy but just know Beretta is basically an Easter Bunny ( actually the comparison could be a lot more drastic i just don't know what else to say for the concept to be clear) compared to Diablo and Guy. Also, the Primordials are the Progenitors of the demon race, from them all demons were born, even between them and the best of the best of their descendants the difference would be immense. Also it's made very clear during the anime run that Beretta's lineage is black's ( Diablo ). She is his descendant.

Primordial just means the 1st that came/excisted. Lesser demon, greater demon, demon peer and so on are evolutionary stages. these are complete different things and not connected at all. And btw, it is possible that a normal greater demon becomes more powerful than a primordial. especially if we talk about the real world and not in the demon realm. for example a Baretta with body out of demonsteel and gold(that mix is the best metal, cant remember name sry) plus a name and plus evolution would be stronger that a primordial just entering real world. Not sure about it, but I think its possible.

The Primordial means the Progenitor, the first one/the 'parent' of all descendant of certain colors. There is 7 Primordial Demons with colors Red, Black, White, Yellow, Violet, Blue & Green. Every colors had their own specific characters. The Red Descendants, just like their Progenitor, Guy Crimson himself, was prideful, like power and like being on top of everything, for example like Orthos the Archdemon we've seen in episode 24 of season 1. Descendant of Blacks, just like their Progenitor, Diablo himself, were more polite and 'unique' as Guy said, even though they are strong, they aren't boastful and think that power isn't everything, so they prefer to served a master that unique and amuse them as well, as you could saw in Beretta and the 2 Greater Demon attendants/subordinates of Diablo who Raphael had eaten. Almost every Primordial had 2 attendants who they choose because their each unique skill, or their loyalty to their 'parent'. Diablo may had lost his own, but don't worry, in Light Novel volume 11 (and will be animated if they ever make the season 4), you'll see that Diablo will gain one very special attendant of black lineage and in that volume we'll finally see all the Primordials too..

Primordial just means first of their lineage, nothing else and they arent any different from other demons meaning they can be any of the evolutionary stages which are; Lesser Demon (Ifrit's spawn things in s1), Greater Demon (Beretta and the 2 absorbed to revive Shion), Arch Demon (When Diablo first appeared), Demon Peer (Diablo being named). As far as I know Demon Peers can grow stronger, they just dont evolve further to a new race

Demons are like monsters born out of mana, special mana in demon cases. and demons are born without a colour. later when demons get stronger they form an ego/mind(yes before that they are mindless monsters, that why most summoned demon are lesser demons, easier to control). and that ego/mind dictates what colour a demon will get. For example, proud demons tend to be red lineage. Violent demons tend to be violet. and demons with priorities all over the place tend to be black(like Guy said).
