I especially don't understand these YT videos where he flies 13 km from the battlefield against the Pancir system and he doesn't see him on the radar, he doesn't notice him. Yeah the compression for ground is nuts. Basically 11.3 is non existent which makes it hard for vehicles in that br bracket

@@sherifaljeddawy2467 maybe for air realistic but probably 50% of the game of ground against Russia, it's an SU25T carpet missiling half the team because it can shoot, unthreatened, insanely good missiles out of range of any AA system. Or SU27s bomb from 10km up without threat of being shot down since no NATO AA has range past 12km (most are 10km). So yeah, ground is unfair a bit when Russian cas can do what they want without threat. Yet US AGMs have a functional range of at most 10km, well within range of AA. Many things play into that (high amount of premium, low experience US players, aka skill issue. Easy farm kills to get air assets early and often) but the reality is lack of parity of AA/CAS between US (and most other nations) and Russia.

By the way Mat, the JDAM CCRP/CCIP markers lie to you. It’s been reported by Hunter. They can glide much further than that, I’ve been launching them VERY early and still getting kills with my F-16. Although I’m not sure how much earlier you can drop them with an A-10

"gliding" is just the bombs turning upwards. The CCIP is correct and just shows where they would fall if they were dumb bombs. Dropping it on the CCIP mark just means it wont have to use its fins.

Honestly I think this shows why GPS guided bombs can actually be very good with certain jets for killing AA. You can just toss the bombs and most of the time they can still get a kill since the AA stay still most of the time. Obv after firing your mavs tho.

I’m really waiting for the anti rad missiles to get added. Right now it takes no skill to use AA. They can just sit there with their radars switched on. Anti Rads are going to change that.

shame you dont have an AGM-179 JAGMs, you could fire them in Passive ARAD (anti-radar) mode and use them as Anti-tank capable SEAD missiles. they also have Home on Emitter HOE and HOJ Home on Jam features used for hunting C2 assets and Reducing EW equipment, in addition to its normal FAF MMW radar seeker. those missiles are honestly kind of OP and make a helos and jets cracked with an all in 1 unicorn missile.

Do not underestimate "dumb" rockets for CAS ! They are very effective against AA more than on tanks ! Also, GBU15V2 is the best (and only) IR gliding bomb ! USE THEM ! ^^

That's what the V280 Valor will be doing IMO once A-10C is removed from service. I did some rough maths and it looks like it has capacity for possibly 64 Hellfire missiles and their racks on the wings with half it's lift capacity to spare.

I think all KZbinrs should watch KZbinrs that make dedicated CAS videos to actually learn how to competently fight against anti air cause some of you do spread misinformation about certain vehicles all because you don’t know how to effectively use them. Firing one maverick against a pantsir almost never works because they intercept the missile. Fire two at one target to guarantee a kill Edit: Also this isn’t related to the cargo port battle some situations you find yourself lucky to find an AA user not intercepting every missile coming its way
