You know, this was the first RoK song I discovered like 8 years ago, and I loved it for the musicianship and the stylistic tendencies. Now, with the added life experience, I have got to say this album has some of the most insanely profound songwriting. I would love to hear about the person this song is about.

Their music is SO clean, crisp, pure, tight, smooth, but at the same time its like it could all fall apart at any minute but they manage to hold it together flawlessly. All through their songs it's like I can't wait to hear the end yet I don't want it to end! A dichotomy?? So intense. I feel like a moth drawn to the light! So glad I found candyrat and thanks rpoland for the posts!!

I feel a tension at the seams I feel a pressure I never dreamed I feel there's something more at stake Too late to run away, too late to run away Something screaming inside me wants me to stay I've got to stay I've got to stay Though this road up ahead is marked with sharp daggers and flames I've grown addicted to the thrills of the mystery I'm just a sucker for anything I'll never see Increasingly intrigued with impossibilities Can't help myself believe There's something we're not seeing It's ok cause, we'll find it sooner or later There's a bridge just up ahead now We can't see where it will end OH it shakes in the wind and it's narrow and thin We hold on for dear life I'm shaking at the knees Ready for the world to see I pray God'll send relief I'm scared as hell but Something screaming inside me wants me to stay Got to stay Got to stay Can't keep my heart at ease Run till I hit the floor I never had a key I keep knocking at the door Need to be in control it seems we never know What lies in store for us How can we keep this up? There's such a long way to go But still we press onward the same There's a bridge just up ahead now We can't see where it will end Oh it shakes in the wind and it's narrow and thin And the ropes that suspend it are fraying It seems that we live for the thrill of the fall Oh for the thrill of the fall

@tuliosux I didn't know they played Brazil because that must be where you saw them live. I've seen them live and he sounds just fine. You must be refering to the few live video shows on youtube. Remember, the sound systems and quality may not be the best on those vids. On these videos by rpoland they are mixed and eq'ed to bring out good quality. Also, these recordings are done live in the studio. Check out the video ROK Song One & ROK Song Two. Both live & mixed well.

@jkman10 I don't think that's a degrade. It would be an honor to get their music out there to a younger generation. Given the other track sets, those musicians are popular for a reason. RoK are just as talented, nay, more so than the bands that have their own track sets. RoK would totally deserve people playing along to their awesomeness with plastic guitars.

@siloix When building a song U consider at all parts. Music, tempo, and the whole structure must fit to the lyrics. In this case, "I feel a tension at the seams, I feel a presure I've never dreamed ..." With those opening lyrics U should feel a sense of chaos and they pulled it off to perfection. I don't think they were looking for catchy, melodic hooks, familiarity, etc. They have proved they can do that in the rest of their numbers. That's what makes this song brilliant. My 2 cents
