Just a side note the track on Niagara street was originally the row for the buffalo lockport and olcott trolley and the Erie Lackawanna lower town branch to originally serve Vandemark

Yes indeed! I always liked how they revived several miles of a long forgotten trolley line when they built the Somerset RR, as well as a stretch of the Hojack. There is still a truss bridge in the woods on the opposite side of Van De Mark where the New York Central came in off of the Falls Road branch before the EL/Somerset access was constructed.

Right at the switch up near the tressel is a old distant signal mast, sadly no signal head on it but nice artifact

@@timothyglaser2458 That's interesting. It makes me curious how long the signals from Lockport to Tuscarora have been out of service.
