What a honor watching this! I’m so proud that you guys are continuing to preserve this American legacy and giving this historical knowledge to us! It literally brought tears of joy to my eyes- thank you so much for your beautiful representation, endless hours of work and dedication to this most deserving cause- Rose couldn’t be in better hands. I’m so glad there are people like you and someday I hope to make the pilgrimage to your amazing doll shop! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Oh my what a lovely doll! What a lovely story! I am so happy I found this! I watch Michael here and there, and what I love most (besides his knowledge) is that he is a true doll collector ...he, like me is always saying, this is my favorite!!! Everything is always my favorite!

Hearing about these children producing such works of art gives me goosebumps the same way that happens when I hear about the children of the Bristol Orphanage in England and the samplers they have left behind and are so treasured today. Thanks for sharing this, hope to pay a visit some day.

My great-great grandfather was a Civil War Dr for the Confederacy. He told my Great grandmother about the Battle if Atlanta...wounded laying on railroad tracks as far as the eye could see...no medicine, no bandages, not even whiskey. Horrific to think about. And those in origin damps in both sides...we would call those atrocities. It was far terrible tine in our history and had we abolished slavery when Britain did we could have avoided blithe the suffering if slavery and that of the war...what fools we mortals be. Wonderful story of the doll...

1. Just a bit of info. In the kids' show, "Howdy Doody", there was a character call "Flub-a-Dub. It was a weird critter. 2. My Edwardian grandmother never was seen without a piece of needlework in her hands. I learned to crochet at her knee. The memory of those hours is very precious to me. She passed in 1979. I miss her so much. 3. I learned to sew on her treadle sewing machine. It's an artform of bodily coordination.

I don’t know if everyone watching realizes the extraordinary seamstress skills of the women and girls who made such clothing...my great grandmother and paternal grandmother taught me to sew and embroidery by hand...but not to the extent of these women....of course some were store purchased but they were hand sewn as well...

I’m just artist who loves all miniature and all cute things.all inspirational things and I love these interviews with Michael and all those awesome things he shows and tells.Lady (Sorry still don’t know she’s name I’m quite new subscriber) is gorgeous in all senses, she’s cute as Miss America, she’s voice I cud listen for hours and just type of person one would love to meet and see and have around..So I just love this...I’m finally starting to take seriously all the doll related things...you know we all love dolls in childhood but at certain age we get mocked and bullied if we still like them,so I stepped away in that time..I’ve been working in miniatures for as long as I remember my self and I start this year with new Napoleon plans for my craft and art..Building my first dollhouse all from scratch with own hands, making my own dogs and dolls.Learning so many things and just allowing me fell in love with all dolls related things again...Seeing this Chanel inspires me as artist enormously cos I see that people really value all those tiny details I and artists put so much time and energy in...Yeah there are those of us who do see and value and that’s the best to see there are other crazy for details as us...I just hope that I can build something so beautiful as all things in this video and I just hope Michaels reincarnation will take good care of it and so gorgeous people as this lady will admire it long time after I’m gone.So keep up good work! (Sorry for the bit crazy self introduction but I just woke up,made my coffee, cake down to my studio and started my day with this and I’m already supper inspired and feel I’m full of creative power and energy, thanks you sooo much for that! What a way to start a day! Can’t wait for more of you’re videos, make them as long as you can,as long as you can..cos that’s the company I want and need in my studio while creating(and add couple adds, you know I mostly get messy hands wont escape those and happy you make some extra of that KZbin cash for so grate videos)Just wishing you all the best and just wanted to say TY and tell what you mean to me,how grateful I am for finding you.💝🌟

I love these old dolls so much but we often forget the historical context in which they were made...only the children of the we;l to do could afford most of them. The majority could not.
