Trent Reznor either did come up with the names then after all or otherwise adopted them because they have floated around the internet for a long time now.

I still have my original CD. I have played the game many times and listen to the soundtrack on its own many times. This is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time in any category. It is also a great Nine Inch Nails album in its own right. I've always felt that way about it. It is nice to see it finally be recognized as an official Nine Inch Nails album and not just a game soundtrack.

Quake was what started gaming for me, so it is my beginning in a lot of ways. Always loved this soundtrack as well, and I bought this vinyl record as soon as it went on sale and I'm not disappointed. I personally can't hear the difference between the record and the CD audio, but it is just damn cool to have it on a vinyl record and makes me feel like i've now had the "complete" Quake experience. Speaking of Quake experience, it is also quite fun but incredibly intense in VR. Playing the soundtrack with Quake, multiplies that intensity for sure. I can only play it for about 15 minutes or so of Quake in VR before my brain is just so fried from the experience that I have to stop and relax. I can play calmer VR games for hours, so its not like I don't have my VR legs - this game is just that intense. If you have VR on PC and you love Quake, VR is a must try.

Along with musical tracks like Type O Negative Wolf Moon. If you put the CD in while the demo of Quake was running then it would use the cover CD tracks as audio for the game which was amazing to me at the time. I probably still have that CD somewhere, not that it would work on modern machines. ^_^ I still remember all that because the demo for Quake combined with Wolf Moon just blew me away as a young teen.
