OMG! That is my biggest pet peeve. How does an MLB team not understand the purpose of a dirt warning track? You're running for a fly ball, looking up at the ball, now you feel and hear that you are on DIRT, and you have only a few steps before you hit a wall. You would think safety would be of the most importance for million dollar players.

If it must have “Rogers” what is wrong with Rogers Skydome or Rogers Field or Rogers Park? Rogers Centre still sounds like a convention centre. Take a hint…there’s no Yankee Centre or Fenway Centre.

💯💯💯SPOT ON! I've been saying this for years. Roger's Center sounds so soulless. Call it the Roger's Skydome! I've suggested the exact same thing, they're not too bright over there at Rogers....

@@alphaofalphas8121 Teams use Center, Field, etc. so that it doesn't get shortened to eliminate the sponsor name. If they used Rogers Skydome still people and media would call it Skydome. They know exactly what they're doing.

I thought they were going to put in real foul poles now instead of those silly foul nets. I guess the budget for a “real ballpark” only goes so far. Maybe incorporate some of those savings into someone who can hit! Also, it’s not truly a real ballpark with the silly brown astroturf warning track. Why not put in proper cinders? If they are worried about player safety, the purpose of the warning track is to “warn” you when you are getting too close to the wall. If you are looking up at a fly ball, you can’t see the brown astroturf, but you would be able to feel the different cinder gravel surface. Mind boggling they are missing these details…then again they forgot they needed hitters.

Well I think the inside looks better but the reality is you could put all the money into this stadium but you can’t change the 1970s cookie cutter design which makes it third worst stadium in all of baseball. They need to look at building a retro park in the very new future.
