Genuinely one of my favorite chapters in the game; I love Ashley and her character arc is so nice, how she grows braver and more confident and begins to help Leon more. Their dynamic and banter is so cute :) Also her segment is hands down one of the scariest parts in the game.

Yes I love Ashley so much in this game, she's such a likable good character and has a genuinely great arc now it makes me happy ✨ They did all the characters justice in the remake, it's one of the most significant improvements from the og imo. Also 100% agree, chapter-per-episode is a good strategy..... if you can live with some cliffhangers like here lol

It always makes me laugh when enemies are dropping in one or two shots during a cut scene but they take five headshots in game and act like it's nothing.

That was a terrifying second half of a chapter, but brilliantly executed by the developers. They did a great job with Ashley here; glad she got some time to shine.

Ashley: "Hey Leon, There's some armor! Bet you could use it like a bulletproof vest!" Leon: "Little old fashioned for my taste." Ashley: "Too bad. I think you'd look pretty dashing." Chris: "Okay, she got me very excited for a second, there. Keep your eyes on the prize, Ashley. ... Maybe she is, actually. What do I know?" Haha, what DO you know! She IS keeping her eye on the prize! This was a reference to how in the original RE4, one of the easter eggs was that if you completed the game multiple times you could get Ashley wearing knight armor (I believe it was on a 3rd playthrough, and on a 2nd playthrough you got an infinite rocket launcher). Not yet sure if any of these easter eggs were carried through in this remake though (references aside). I remember my brother and his friends and I stayed up super late trying to finish the og game to get them.

I think you are missing out a bit bu not having the sub-machine gun. Its high rate of fire would have been perfect in the gallery fight

FYI, I died in this section SIXTEEN times because I had no grenades, a half-broken knife and only limited pistol ammo. It sucks because you can't farm more ammo by going back. The original was FAR more generous with ammo drops, so the difficulty felt more balanced. The remake keeps kicking my ass and I feel like I have so few options to defend myself. It's just really frustrating.

Is it just me or do some of the textures seem bad to anyone else, as well? I mean Odd said in the beginning he has everything maxed out, and yet many textures, especially tile walls etc do seem sort of... I don't know... outdated...

Yes. I notice it with plants and leaves. They have the same texture as the ones from the original re4 and im half bothered because they couldve polished the texture more but also it brings back memories.

The game has some problems with texture streaming, the high res versions often plop back in after a few (or a lot of) seconds.
