I work with several people with political views completely different from mine, and I 100% guarantee that if my colleagues worked at Wizards, they would have been fired by now for holding those views. It's their political opinion and I don't care. They probably don't care about mine either. We're reaching a point where everyone's personal life is getting scrutinized so the less you express yourself publicly, the better off you are. Twitter is particularly nefarious as there's an active far-left brigade of MtG fans that will persecute anyone they disagree with until they effectively ruin that person's public life or incessantly demand that Wizards does stuff to cater to them. Nuance is dead in the mainstream. Some of those with nuanced views are being lumped into radical movements because at a quick glance and no communication it can seem like their views are hateful. For instance, saying "I don't agree with BLM with but I agree that black lives matter" will get you canceled it most cases. Public discourse is dying if not already dead, very scary. WoTc retires artwork all the time so I'm not following this 'reserved' list expanding segment.

@@floatinghandsmtg9360 I didn’t know about the whole Terese Nielsen thing (had to Google it just now), but the point is that if you have an older card with her artwork on it you now know that particular version of the card will never be printed again. Which can and most likely will effect it’s value.

@@technole I explain it as not being relevant. That's not what the Reserved List is. The Reserved List prevents a card from being reprinted EVER.

Under the assumption of alternate arts and variants being psuedo reserve list, then wouldn't the entirety of the collectors edition boxes be a good option for investing? 10 years from now, it seems unlikely they'll reprint the exact same style of art for all of those special cards. However, having so many variations might cause general collectors' fatigue? Trying to wrap my head around a pseudo reserve list. The way I see it, if there is money to be made, and the card is not on the reserve list, the suits at wizards will gladly reprint it.

Hey guys, and 3% girls, i am thinking about buying a beckit 9,9,9,9 alpha royal assasin for $1700 and was not sure where i can get a good opinion on price. I am newer to collecting but have played for many years off and on. What i do currently is look at other ebay listings, but i am not sure if that is a good way to find out what i should actually pay.
