Hi from over the pond in the UK. I have only just recently found your videos and love the way you present. I have mild hearing loss and have some Oticon Engage hearing aids which have Bluetooth connectivity and utilise either the EDU mic in a similar way to your resound or a full Phonak Roger Pen and Mic setup in a full office meeting. I have found the best way for getting my voice across in the video meetings is to use a combination of both EDU mic connected to the the computer to allow me to hear directly and the to use a mono headset and mic which is loosely around my neck and not on my head. Most video conferencing platforms (ie Zoom, Teams etc) allow you to be selective of both the input and output devices. This configuration gives me the best of both worlds, great sound direct to aids, and dedicated mic for communication back. Hope this helps.

I’m getting the Resound One 9 BTE rechargeable hearing aids with the Muli Mic. I am excited and can’t wait. We still have to set appointment to have my earmolds made.

Amazing Channel! glad that your employer ask for that, is such an important question! I have Widex hearing aids and about 70% hearing lost. I'm from Chile and I don't know if we have some equivalent law, but I struggle A LOT with the over the ear headphones because of the feedback. Maybe widex have something similar! About the trouble you have: bluetooth have in and out transmissions. Maybe that's the problem? I bough a usb bluetooth adapter and was an emisor only; It doesn't receive audio. I teach via zoom and my solution was to buy a separate usb microphone. Hope you can solve that!

Yes, I think that is the issue! Thank you!

Once you get a Mac ya never go back haha. Trying out my multi-mic today. I did not realize I could use it on the computer. I have rechargeable hearing aids-no more doors. I need to figure out how to connect them. Great tips! Did I hear you on a podcast lately? Jasmine Starr or Julie Solomon?

It is true! The Mac-Trap exists haha. Nope, I wasn't on a podcast recently. That'd be fun to be on one, though!

I have a small microphone connected to a usb-soundcard. It has two plugs, one to a phonak roger table mic that sends the sound to my hearingaids just like your mulitmic and one to this small microphone so others can hear me talk. I can fasten it on my jumper. This works execellent. I can hear and others hear me.

Hi Emily, - I did ask my employer to get a bluetooth device that I could use on the office phone system so i could connect my Resound phone clip and in the case of an older hearing aid system, the streamer, to the office phone system and be able to get the audio in both ears and hands free. With regard to the difficulty you were having with two way comminication, I tried using the multi-mic on the jack for a speaker or headphones on my laptop computer. Then i was able to still talk to the other participants on the zoom or google meet call using the computerr's built in microphone. It gave me great audio without with the streamer connected to the audio output. I do not think this would have worked on the headset jack where microphone would be neede. When I connected to my computer via blutetooth via the Resound Phone Clip, that generally worked will also. My computer is getting to be about 8 years old and I do not think the bluetooth connection works as well as it once did. The multi mic has been great for webinars where communication is one way only. I find the audio to be quite comfortable even if using it for multiple hours in a day.

Does your focus improve when you don't use your hearing aids? 💖🤗👍👍

Depends on what I'm focusing on. Meditating? Yes. Understanding what my husband is saying? No. :)

Hi … I am from India … My son has a hearing loss and wearing hearing aids from last 6 months … as his speech is not developed he can’t explain me many things …. I want to know can u hear the sound of Tv clearly with your hearing aid
@DefiniteHearing2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Hearing aids need to be programmed correctly, worn early in life and often. I recommend your son go to speech therapy if possible. Hearing aids do not magically fix speech but can help wearers better understand the sounds they hear.

Hi new to hearing aids. i did not know where to ask a question. But what kind of mask do people use? I use the surgical with loop over ears but way to hard to manage the hearing aids. Will lose one. The tie masks dont think would be that easy. So do people use those extenders? Thank you, enjoy your channel, learning!

I like to use behind the head masks! See this mask and select the "Head Chord" option: bendshapemask.com/products/mask

Quick question - I am bit unsure at the moment. I have been told that Resounds MultiMic can connect DAI Roger x (Phonak) and I wear Oction Xceed Play UP - not sure how this works?!
@DefiniteHearing4 күн бұрын
Sooo I can’t verify this but I can say other hearing apps can control my ReSound ONEs! This is likely the same reason as the scenario you mentioned, the devices are on the same channel so they can “talk”.

Hi. I was curious if you have any tips for a person getting hearing aids later in life? I’m nearly 30 and I am getting hearing aids as I have moderate hearing loss. I was diagnosed with mild hearing loss when I was 4 but doctors were scared I would be bullied and the risk just was too high. So now I’m getting hearing aids and I’m really nervous about it.
@DefiniteHearing2 жыл бұрын
Advice, yes: 1. Know it is totally normal to feel nervous. 2. Hearing aids take time to adjust to - at least 6 weeks. You may feel more tired, self conscious about wearing hearing aids and you may feel more emotional. This is also normal. Hearing aids increase the volume of surroundings to your brain. This increased stimulus is the reason for the things listed above. Your brain will adapt, like I said it just takes time. 3. Be patient with yourself and others. 4. Know that sound adjustments can be made. Talk with your audiologist about any and all thoughts regarding the sound volume, quality, etc. There are so many adjustments they can make. 5. Get the right hearing aid. Don't sacrifice size for the hearing assistance your ears really need! 6. Get custom ear molds. They improve sound quality and are much more comfortable to wear. I hope this helps!

Hi! I'm from India. Kindly let me know if a Client has linx 3d 761 H. Aid in one ear and new version of BTR Key 398 for another ear, Can Multimic be paired simultaneously with both the Hearing device?
@DefiniteHearing2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm unfamiliar with that. Please ask your audiologist or contact ReSound in your area. They should know and be able to help you. :)

Is that the one that can be used as a remote mic or is that something different?

Yes, it can be used as the remote mic. I love it.

Hi Emily do those mics work with any hearing aids? I am at a crossroads with my hearing! I have an audiology appointment on the 10th Jan & I probably will have a hearing test so I will try & get a print out of audiogram! I need new earmoulds I have blue soft silicone earmoulds! So anyone have any suggestions of colours for the next lot of earmoulds? I will be trying the latest Signia stretta UP rechargeable hearing aids! But if this does not help then the next step might be a cochlear implant! I hope the appointment goes ahead with all the covid! ☹️

Barry I hope your appointment went well! Ear mold color recommendation: Orange!

Would the Resound multi mic work with the current 2022 Lively hearing aids? I believe Lively aids are made by Resound and their multi mic looks the same.
@DefiniteHearing2 жыл бұрын
Great question. I have ReSound and you're right, they do make Lively aids. I'm not sure of the answer to your question so I'd ask your audiologist.

@@DefiniteHearing Yes it works, I verified it myself. I bought a GN resound multi mic on eBay and it worked fine with 2022 Lively 2 Pro HAs I tried out.
