In The Respectful Whore, he shows us a double discrimination against a black man in a city in the southern United States, and a prostitute who faces a moral dilemma. The work presents criticism of a corrupt society, where the powerful abuse their power without scruples. It reminds me of the work "Torotumbo" by Miguel Ángel Asturias, coinciding in the commission of a crime, in the commotion that it generates in the town, in which the real criminals are not punished because the fact is distorted, but the big difference is in the closure, in which here everything remains the same, and the powerful continue to subjugate the marginalized.
In the work "behind closed doors" with a start that reminded me of Beckett's ellipses and doubts, he will present otherness, how others are our salvation, our executioners and our hell. The work allows us to reflect on the social nature of sins-vices as well as the determination that our actions exert on us and others, and others actions upon us, a profoundly existentialist philosophical reflection.
