４、５才のころ家にVHSがあって好きでよく見てた 今となってはこんな怖いものよく見てたなあ 怖いなんて微塵も思ってなく「おデブさん落ちそうワハハ😂」「頭に花つけたお姉さん好き😊」とか思ってた 怖いが未学習だったのだろうな大人になって分かったけど素晴らしい作品を見てたんだな

What version is this? I've seen the puppet animation version from 1958, and the colored one but at a loss on which this one is and which year it was released?

There are more versions of this story then one can count. If youre still interested - this seems to be a version, released 1991, directed by Kihachirō Kawamoto and Tadanari Okamoto. Btw. The reason why there are so many motion picture adaptations, is because the story was firstly writen by japanese author Miyazawa Kenji.
