i'm going to say this again in case I mentioned this a while back. People have that national urge for belonging so they would want to be with someone. So, there are times when logic is thrown out of the window and stay even with the most toxic relationship there is so yes, blackmailing with divorce DOES work. It does barely work in the world of Revenge Films though.

Extended ending: One of the husband's was a good friend of Kevin's family, and told them about the divorce, of course his parents were outraged for the reason why, so much so, his dad beaten him up when he tried to explain himself, they disown kevin and straight threaten to kill him if he tries to move back in or contact them, April's now former in laws apologized to her for their son's actions, and for Kevin, his paycheck was completely cut in half, so he had to get a part time job to make ends meet, he tried to get back into the dating life but the husbands of April's friends made sure people knows what kind of person Kevin is, so no one wants anything to do with him anymore, since no one cooks for him anymore, he had to rely on instant and ready made meals as his daily diet, he also had to move out of the apartment april and he lived together since he couldn't afford it anymore and move to the smaller dingy apartments that was near his workplaces

A year later, April met a man who worked at Kevin's old company aunt is an executive manager in the moment he ate his dish he wanted to meet the chef who cooked this wonderful dish the man was very stunned and hit with immediately love at first sight. He came twice a week to eat April's cooking and decided to ask her out April was a bit weary after dealing with Kevin's abuse over the years so she decided to give him a chance and it turned out it was the best chance she ever received pituitary started dating for a year and one day he proposed to her. The two of them had a nice wonderful wedding even some of Kevin former college praise the couple and told her new husband to take good care of this woman she's the best chef in town one day April and her new husband were walking to the store to look for ingredients for the restaurant until they saw a homeless man staggering about it turned out it was Kevin when he looked at her he was about to say some verbally abusing words until her husband stepped in and gave the meanest glare he ever did come to find out he recognized that the man was the manager at his old company who is now the new CEO he got terrified and ran away.

So let me get this right: Either the husband is just an abusive narcissist or he’s your stereotypical insecure bully either way doesn’t really matter the type of person who would NEG his own wife. Trying to destroy her spirit simply to boost his own ego or possibly trying to control her doesn’t deserve to be married doesn’t deserve to be happy and definitely doesn’t deserve to have support from others. If he can’t even support the people he claims to love. Honestly, it baffles me how people can get married to others that they say they love, but then treat so horribly. I kind of reminds me of a Reddi story of a guy who was racist towards Asians, but had an Asian wife and mixed children and would always criticize and put down his wife and kids like bro if you hate them so much why did you wanna marry her? Why did you have kids with her some people‘s level of toxicity is so bad it literally rots their own brain because that’s the only way I can make sense of their upside down twisted around backwards, logic.

How I see is that he just lost a chance to brag to his coworker that he had a wife that can cook restaurant quality food. But he let his pride and insecurity get in the way to see the chance.
