Well, it does make sense for Mikey to go with William.... After all, the phantoms can't hurt you, at least according to the game. Only Springtrap/William can. And he's Mike's dad.... So yeah, probably safer then any other location. Although the Nightmares, never leaving the house, are basically built-in babysitters in a sense... And if someone tries to take Mike, all are perfectly capable of defending him, tooth and claw.
