It was no secret he is a drunk but henry is a racist and marcus might be responsible for letting it all go on until they were called out about jackie and henry being way too over the top including both of them saying the n word on roundtable so what are we fucking doing here. If anyone of importance listened to 1 episode of roundtable no one who ever appeared on it would work again.

@35Spidey7 ай бұрын
Yeah being kind to himself is really big of him, what a hero. Maybe he should be extending kindness and remorse to his victims, his friends and business partners that he hurt and jeopardized, and his disillusioned fans that were shocked and disappointed by his actions. He needs to be tough and honest with himself, not patting himself on the back for going to a celebrity rehab spa for 28 days.

Same. Episodes 200-400 were the real high point of the show. Ed Larson is funny but having two comedians on the show gets to be a bit much when they start trying to out yuck each other. Ben’s dumb guy act was useful since they often had to stop and explain things in detail to him and by proxy the listener.

Is everyone just willing to forgive/forget what Ben did? Jfc folks remember Marcus’s words: mental illness is not your fault but it is your responsibility. He let his alcoholism get to the point where he was assaulting his gf. Going to treatment is too little too late for that. I’m glad he’s getting the help he needs but trying to garner sympathy before showing remorse and regret for his actions looks bad on the host and Ben. He needs to winter in peace and let go of his desire for validation through the spotlight. It must be hard for him seeing his friends be successful and continue without him but they didn’t assault their loved ones. Just continue getting treatment, Ben, and find a job that better suits your mental health. I’ve listened to Last Pod since the beginning and I really like Ben, but I’m not going to support any effort he makes to get back into the spotlight and I hope LP keeps their distance out of respect to his victim.

We don't really know what was going on. I'm taking anything that batshit person says with a truckload of salt. Ben's biggest crime was his appalling choice of partners and hopefully he's learned his lesson. Marcus couldn't wait to take over, he's been dying to seize control for the longest time and his craven ambition was on display quite brazenly. Quite the ugly scene all told.

I hate cancel culture. People can grow and learn... and become better.
@35Spidey7 ай бұрын
"Cancel culture" is a term that actually means holding people (mostly men) accountable for their behaviors and actions and not just sweeping it under the rug as society and Hollywood have been doing for decades. Yes it sucks that many of our favorite public figures and celebrities have been exposed as being very bad people, but the truth is what it is and sometimes it hurts. What matters is making sure abusive people are exposed so further potential victims can be prevented from being harmed.

Henry and Msrcus and everyone employed at LPN have a right to protect their business and livelihood. The issues with Ben didn't suddenly happen overnight, they have been trying to get him to get his shit together for a while and this was the last straw that became a public issue that was too much, he was a liability to everything and he had to go. He did ALL of this to himself, making his friends and partners the villains because they were forced to deal with what HE did is ridiculous.

As if it wasn’t a team of people lifting his lazy drunk self up constantly. What a douche.
