As I recall, Chip Whistler is/was vain about his toothy smile, which was broken when he bit into a billiard ball that he mistook for a tomato in "Supermarket Scandal." Repairing his sneer after repeated combat bouts with Cricket Green escalated into the helicopter incident. Restarting his life as Norm was sidetracked when he ran into another kid. Now he lurks, just beneath the surface, like an Alligator, waiting for a chance to strike. By the way, what happened to "Wholesome Foods" after Chip Whistler was banned from Big City?

@theprecartoonworld Well, for starter, Marvel and DC had more one evil organization. Marvel had both The Sinister 6, The Cabal, and The Squadron Supreme, and DC had both The Legion of Doom and Brotherhood of Evil. Even some Disney Channel shows had their own evil organization. Phineas and Ferb: LOVE MUFFIN, and DuckTales: FOWL.

I love this video. I still remember the first video you made in 2021, and I was hoping you would make another video when the character was revealed to be alive. This video did not disappoint. I find it interesting that you mentioned that Chip's father didn’t look for him to confirm that he was alive. However, his tombstone implies that his father cared enough for him to give him a tombstone, though, at the same time, the tombstone could’ve been because of an obligation rather than remorse for his son’s passing. But honestly, I do want to see Chip’s father again and see him interact with his son.

So, here's an idea: Instead of speedrunning the whole Norm thing, what they could have done was keep the idea and intertwine it with the Greens. Norm's meant to give Chip a somewhat normal life again, so why not have it be so he looks different enough so that we know believe he's a new character and have him befriend the Greens in some way. Maybe he sees this as a way to rectify what came before, realizing how messed up he had become and actually wants to improve. Over the season we're given little hints to his real identity, but it's never fully shown until the finale of the season when something triggers Chip's original personality to come out, resulting in the Greens finding out as well, realizing this person they had befriended was their worst enemy and believe he wanted to trick them again. It's a bit cobbled together off the top of my head, but something like that would have been very interesting to see.

oh my gosh that actually would've been so cool to see. like, maybe norm would slowly befriend them which works out at first, but then there'd be moments where his real feelings show through every time the greens get on his nerves. and then there'd be a big reveal where they piece together it had been chip all along. i so wish the writers would've gone in that direction instead of condensing the norm arc into a single episode :(

The fact they didn't take the easy route and make Chip the big bad of the movie I think is also a move worthy of appreciation, since that would've been both too expected and wouldn't have made the cumulative events as impactful as they clearly want it to be. Plus Gwendolyn Zapp was hilarious in the movie.

I haven't seen the full video, but I like to think that, in a way, hating on the Greens gives Chip's life purpose, even if he doesn't know it or would even like to admit it. I mean, before, he was spoon fed everything and had no worries, more or less basically nothing I do and so really no direction. I mean, we've seen so much of how far this man would go for his hatred of the greens, to the point where he had every chance, especially as Norm, to get out and never have to see the Greens again, yet he decided to leave it behind and continued to do it. Because, in a weird way, doing so makes him happy. Its like with Alice and Mr Gregorian, but to a much larger scale and one sided, as the rivalry kept them motivated, happy, and alive in a figurate sense, and I sense the same thing is the case for Chip. It actually reminds me of The Monarch from The Venture Bros. Chip: "I had true hatred with Cricket Green, I didn't need to fake it. That sweet loathing just poured out of me every time I saw that little gremlin's stupid face. I just- I just wanted to destroy his family. I wanted to build a machine to destroy his family. I WANTED TO CONSTRUCT AN EMPIRE TO HOUSE THE MACHINE TO DESTROY HIS FAMILY!" Wholesome Greg: "Then by Golly... LETS GO DUMP TRASH ON HIS PORCH!"

I always saw Big City Greens as a cheap knockoff of The Simpsons, with Chip being their version of Sideshow Bob. They are both egomaniacs who want to destroy a little kid for humiliating them too many times. They also have their own running gags of getting hurt the same way over and over again (Bob gets hit by a rake and Chip breaks his teeth). However, there is something that makes Chip way worse than Bob. Bob has actually tried to redeem himself. He tried moving to Italy to settle down and have a family, only for the Simpsons to accidentally expose his true identity and ruin his life. Although, that didn't stop him from trying again to have a happy ending in the more recent seasons. Chip on the other hand enjoys being the villain. He tried to start over and have a new life and identity, but he regretted it. The Greens did nothing to ruin his new happy life. He returned back to evil, not because he feels robbed or unjustly punished like Bob. He becomes the villain again because of the thrill of villainy. He's no Mr. Freeze, he's no Sideshow Bob and he's no Dr. Kirt Connors. He's the Jack Nickolson Joker. He was already a bad guy. He's just now going to be more unhinged. Chip is a vengeful monster and he's proud of that.

Norman Osborn and the Green Goblin were two different personalities. The Joker was already a bad guy, it's just that after the accident that created him, became more unhinged. Chip breaking his tooth was his own vat of acid.
