You know what I love about the insomnia is that all fans and every reactors who knows about Handong's departure and comeback said "Welcome back, Handong/Dongie" when they all reacted Odd Eye. And I always felt happy whenever I heard them say it. She was welcomed so well by the old and new Insomnias and just anyone who knows her. Not only that, even the members and staffs gave her the welcome she deserves by giving her the same amount of lines and scenes. With the variety shows and their live streams, they gave her time to shine. But then again, it was also due to Handong's hardworks that made all these happened. I'm really proud of her and the rest of the DC members.

Legit I don't think there was any better way to encapsulate her journey than her reveal as the one behind the mask. It was just a one-off special MV, but it had so much MEANING. She was there. ALWAYS. Hard at work, improving herself, until she got the courage to finally take off the mask. I love this moment so much that I made a custom poster of it and have it on my room door. I hope I get to show her a picture of it some day, and let her know how much inspiration I got from her.

She reminds me of Twice Mina. She kept her sadness about getting few lines from the others so they didn't really know what was happening with her. She's a confident star now so in the end her year in China was the right thing to do. New Somnies probably don't know what it was like before, but I remember she was almost invisible. She had few lines and in the dance she was always on the side at the back. They even dyed her hair a bright orange in What so she'd stand out more, but then her only scene was in a closet and it's so dark it's hard to even recognize it's her. She only had one line in that song. They really should have known she was unhappy.

I became a fan after Odd eye era so i never new how hard it is for the insomnias that time. But because of this video i realized how hard it is for DC and for somnias when handong left to compete in china. Just the vid of them crying when handong's part played has left me crying. I never once thought of any of them as lower as other members. Although it's something evident that Handong, Dami, and Gahyeon's lines were scarced on their rookie years. They are the group that has the most distinctive members ever, seriously. I'm glad those members were given more lines now.

I know Handong first in YWY2 then i got curios about them. I searched in google then i saw their pics and I say ohh dark, they look like witch, but i love witch. But i didn't not yet Stan them. coz i didn't watch their mvs. Then I listened to kpop song playlist and hear Scream and said this Song is nice then Deja Vu come then I said wait wait This song is really really good but who is the singer? How come i don't know this song (I know popular songs and gg in SK) so i searched and boom I stan DC right away. The Only Group I spend money. Its so good to see her back and more confident. I think in dreamcatcher the same thing as Loona happened. A lot of new fans came while Haseul was in hiatus (2y and a half cause of anxiety) but Loona and Dreamcatcher were always talking about them and the fans too and didnt let people forget about them. Both Haseul’s and Hondong’s comebacks were very emotional and strong!!! Thnks for this video, I cried so much!!!

Same with Ateez and Mingi. The members left his voice in the tracks and Hongjoon would cover his and Mingi's lines in live shows. Also same with BTS and Suga who had to have surgery. The members always kept fans updated with his health status. It's awesome to see members care soo much about each other they really are little families. I will just put this here even though it's late already. Odd Eye was my first song which i instantly fell in love with them. I didn't know about her missing for a year until i did my research about the trilogy (Scream, Boca, Odd Eye). I was watching Scream MV, then Boca but i didn't realise at first that it was only 6 members. I think i saw a comment saying they miss Handong. So i went back to the MVs and realising it was just 6. I went googling about her missing then i found out about her departure. But even then I didn't know why she decided to go. This video is really helpful for understanding her position. Thank you and keep up the good work✌️ Few days until Maison comeback on 12th April. Let's go support the girls.

This is a video that I continuously come back and watch every few months, and it's just that right balance of bittersweetness. It was a confusing time, so I didn't understand it as much when it happened, but I really commend Handong for realising that she had an opportunity to improve and for taking it and DCC for allowing her to do so (even if it did also help promote the group, too). I think it really shows the trust and care between the company and all of its employees, but also the fact that the amount of lines that are distributed out to each member is based on a fair process of "Who sings it better?", and not just "Who is the most popular and a visual centre to draw in new fans?". Whilst the latter is a useful marketing ploy, the former allows for healthy and active improvement of ones skills, and I think that's the way it should be: simplified down, artists before money. I'm so happy for Handong and her newfound confidence and increasing vocal skills. I hope she can continue to improve and take over the world with the rest of DC by her side!
