I can see a return to the series where it starts right where we left off, having the pebble fall out of the glove compartment. Steven, being too far from turning back and dropping him off, he decides to take him along on his self discovery, telling it a bunch of unseen moments throughout the show. And then having the last episode being a reunion with the gems (leading to this artwork)

Honestly I love the idea of Steven getting older, though for me I think one topic I’d love to see explored is Steven struggling in a world he’s never really been a part of. Besides the 20 people in beach city Steven has never really had many interactions with humans, we see in future him struggling socially with Connie’s friends. Our largely neurodivergent fandom can definitely relate to Steven to that extent, so seeing him struggling with that would be amazing. I’d also love a spin off focusing on the diamonds, I’d love to see Pink being the diamond that cared about life, the diamond that created the pebbles and bottled up her emotions after hurting her Pearl, I know it’s not to popular to love Pink/Rose but I genuinely do, so I’m even excited to hear your thoughts on her, and to see if you’ve thought of all the details that I have.

I... wasn't expecting this at ALL. I loved this series so much, I'd wanted so much to be able to write for it. I'd poured my heart and soul into my screenplay work, even worked to learn storyboarding seeing how the staff write, but due to health issues, I never got as far as any kind of application or pitch. Like another show, I was stuck watching it run from start to finish while I wasn't able to get anywhere. And then on top of that seeing the way it ended, it... hurt too much for me to face it for years. And despite that, I could never bring myself to "throw away" my work ever having a chance officially by posting it as fanfiction, even if I thought about it a lot. At least so it wasn't wasted and people could see it... Why is the timing like this? I start facing my past and the work I loved and wanted to contribute, and thanks to hopeless curiosity end up find a video from *this year* (7 months ago) about how Steven Universe could come back... I hope so much it's true more than anything, and yet I still don't think I can make it this time if it did. Even if I can hope... I'd love so much if at least the show gets continued... ;_; Thank you so much for covering this!

I’m going to be honest, something I’d really like to see from the Steven Universe is a “Tales from Era 1 and 2” look at the many facets of the Gem Empire. Break away from Steven’s perspective. Yes I know I’m asking for a prequel. Some normal dysfunctional family days for the Diamonds. Rhodonite falling in love despite rejuvenation after rejuvenation. One of the early colonizers of a completely different planet has a “Rose falls in love with Earth” montage and tries to stop the colony, but fails because she’s not a Diamond. Era 1 Peridots being racish towards Era 2 Peridots. A day in the life of an elite, a worker, a Pebble, a wall. A nearly perfect fusion that hid her second Gem and tried to make it as a higher class. Maybe she made it, maybe they were harvested. Go darker with it, you know?

Well if Miss sugar is going to make a new Steven universe cartoon perhaps she should also make a descendant of Steven! In fact remember the episode when Stephen found the video tape of his mom talking to a girl named Nora he was really curious about it but then he already knew that if rose quartz had a boy she would name him Steven and if she had a girl she would name her Nora! So I think Steven universe should have a daughter named Nora universe who has the beauty of her mother Connie but like her father she would have the powers of the gem so she may not have his gym but she could still use the shield the bubbles and healing powers as well just like her father! And perhaps the voice of Nora universe should be Idina Menzel! Should make a perfect talking and singing voice for Nora!❤

I feel like at this point, the main thing stopping a new SU miniseries/spinoff being greenlit is that animation greenlights are currently at a total standstill, and I fear it's most likely gonna remain that way until the Animation Guild gets a deal signed.
