Seola has won my heart in every single episode that she's appeared in from the first time that the Lee family of five was introduced. Each of these kids make me smile at their antics, growth, and cuteness, but Lee Seola is a special kid. She is always the most animated, introspective, and plays the little mother to all of the other people, big and small, that she encounters. A special kid with a huge heart. I hope that she will enjoy a great life as she moves through it...

The 5 sliblings are honestly becoming my favourite. I'm going to have to rewatch to see if I like them or the triplets more. Each of the kids in that family are so precious. Dongguk and his wife raised 5 kids really well.

Im CRYING, the whole time the raccoons were at the twins house was hilarious! The way Seoeon just picks up the raccoons like nothing, how seojun keeps calling them playful even though he can be worse, how seojun pointed fingers at the raccoon and seoeun thought it was for him! My guess is that Rohee's mom probably speaks to her in English as well, kids who learn more than one language tend to take a little longer speaking, but it also explains why she's so advanced in other developmental stages 😊

+XXieroXX Sarang's parents also spoke two languages to her, from the minute she was born. But, she could already speak and understand both languages when she was only 20 months old. She could even sing along with English children's songs and recite the English alphabet, when she was barely two.

delilah9876 that's not true, if you watch again you can see that she did not understand Korean for a long time, Japanese was definitely her first language. Sunghoon is not fluent in Korean like Eugene is in English, they even got her a Korean teacher to come to the house as the show went on. Also knowing a few words and a nursery rhyme or two is not the same as being able to speak/understand a language. Also I am not saying the slow language development happens with everyone either, but it is much more common when being raised in a bilingual home

She wasn't fluent in the beginning, but she understood her father perfectly well, when he spoke Korean to her, even though she answered in Japanese. I know that he hired a teacher for her, to improve her language skills. But, she already understood a whole lot, when that Korean teacher first tested her vocabulary (in ep. 21). I haven't missed a single episode. I was raised multilingual myself and I didn't have that problem Rohee seems to have. Seoeon's speech developed later than his brother's and he wasn't raised bilingual.

delilah9876 your point is invalid though because Sarang was not bilingual from the time she was born like you were trying to say. Her dad even said he didn't feel right being on a Korean show when his child didn't understand Korean. Look at the way the triplets spoke and the way Sarang did when they spent time together, she was older than them and had already been learning Korean for a while, and there is still a clear difference in their levels of expression/comprehension. I'm repeating myself but you're not hearing me: the speech delay doesn't apply to everyone but IS more common in cases where kids are learning more than one mother tongue. It especially doesn't apply with Sarang because her first language was ONLY Japanese

+XXieroXX We’re obviously having a confusion in the debate. It seems we don’t share the definition for bilingualism and you need to rewatch some episodes, ‘cause you’re off on some points. Being bilingual has nothing to do with your level of expression. You’re bilingual when you can understand and when you’re able to make yourself understood in more than one language. Even if you speak one language better than the other. Sarang lives in Japan and she has to speak Japanese most of the time. The triplets live in Korea and speak Korean all the time. So, naturally they would be more fluent in Korean than Sarang. As Sarang would be more fluent in Japanese. You also need to work on your reading skills, ‘cause I never said that Sarang was bilingual from the the day she was born. How could I have said that? Nobody is able to speak from the minute they are born. What I DID say is that her father spoke Korean to her from the day she was born. BIG DIFFERENCE! He said so himself. In more than one episode! I also said that she responded in Japanese, in the beginning, and that she gradually started to respond in Korean. When they had breakfast at Jang Hyung Sung’s house (in ep. 14), she understood that family perfectly well. She only asked for water in Japanese, because she couldn’t come up with the Korean word for it. But, she DID say “thank you“ in Korean. And in episode 5, she greeted the cameraman in Korean. Sarang was 20 months old when this show started and she already spoke perfectly well. Furthermore, you don’t have to repeat yourself, ‘cause I hear you. I just don’t agree with you. I’d also like to see the facts and statistics that show that bilingual children take longer to speak than monolingual children, ‘cause I have never heard of it. And I know a lot of multilingual people. Multilingualism is very common, where I live and where I was born. And in my family everybody is multilingual. But, there was only one person, whose speech developed late.
