my grandmother lives with us now and she has dementia. Its the worse feeling ever when someone you love doesn't know who you are. Trust me, it hurts, you'll cry, but you cant do anything about it but you just have to stick it through and enjoy the time you have with them! Sadly in my case it's even harder, because my grandmother doesn't speak English fluently so I'm trying to study up on my Spanish for her!

I'm so sorry for Lee Hwi Jae. He is such a great dad for his twins and has not had such a nice experience with his own father. He always had to fight for his love. Lee Hwi Jae can be proud that he is such a heartfelt father and the love of his children will always be safe for him.

I'm glad they were at least able to repair some of their relationship before his dad's memory started getting really bad. I know Hwijae doesn't really get emotional on the outside, but I wanna hug him...it's such a crappy situation.

Daebak was simply showing his emotion that he missed his dad which was really sweet and he shouldn't be told that he can't cry because he's a boy. Besides, he's still a young boy so it's a natural thing.

It looks like hwijie's father had a stroke, since one side of his face is sort of paralyzed. I can understand how hwijie feels, my grandfather was very similar and after his stroke, it was hard to exit the house w/o a wheelchair and always just on his chair watching tv. It's going to be very hard for hwijie when his father passes away, but I hope he remembers all the good things about his father, not only the bad. The time with his father is really precious to both of them

My heart completely sunk looking at the pain on Hwijae face when Abeoji was quite non responsive toward the program he viewed in honor of him. It isso hard for Hwijae to accept his deteriorating illness of dementia, but I know he still love his son & grandchildren even if he slowly not remembering them much, he will always love them during the time he has left.😢😢

I'm studying to become an educater right now and there are so much Donggok does right - I really think he's great, but seeing him tell Sian to stop crying because he is a boy breaks my heart and it's all kinds of wrong. Everyone needs their feelings to be acknowledged! Accept is so important. "I see you, and what you're feeling is okay" ! It's so incredibly vital for a childs development and sense of self. GAAH!

Just because something is apart of a culture doesn't make it right. Telling boys not to cry is something a lot of cultures around the world do, and it doesn't make it any better. Some people are fine, other bottle up their emotions to the point of expressing them in harmful ways such as violence and anger. And yes his children are great, but Sian is his first boy, who knows if telling him he's not allowed to crying will do some emotional damage in the future. He's already a stoic little boy most of the time. You can't tell someone how to raise their kids, but you don't have to agree with it either. and btw, I do think he is a wonderful father to all his children. And i think they'll all grow up fine. Every parent has flaws.

I believe that it is her mom who is the real talent in the family. Eugene speaks several languages and is a singer/dancer, actress and all around entertainer.
