What a fantastic video. I first photographed the full size glider in Germany at the Vintage glider meet in Achmer, it has been my favorite glider ever since. I fly the oldest Ka6 BR in the U.K. built in 1958 and would love to fly the Petrel. If you would like to see some of my video's look under "thewreckfinder" one word. truly beautiful. loved Jeff Beck, but your slope is even better! Here in the Arizona desert, our slopes are covered with rocks,cactus,and rattlesnakes. We can't risk landing/bashing such a beautiful plane like yours... ours are more bashable and not pretty. keep the videos coming!

For me, the Petrel is arguably the most beautiful sailplane ever. As a fullsize sailplane pilot this is the plane I would most like to have flown. And I'm a big Jeff Beck fan. The photography and editing here was stunning and the pilots head turning really added to the realism (glider pilots have their heads on swivels!). Great piece of work from the prolific Chris Williams and the filming and production crew. 👍

I've always been partial to the Slingsby designs, they just look so 'right', and this is one of my favourites :-) Great model, great flying, great camerawork & editing - even the music was good ! And what a hill you have to fly from... We don't have anything like that here i Norway, so I'm quite envious. Beautiful. Thanks !

Hey Chris ... Everything about this clip is 10 out of 10 ..... I have a 'Bird of Time' among others and truly appreciate every aspect of what you have done and what you are achieving here ... the plane, the music ... absolutely everything ... but especially the sailplane itself ... Can you point me in the exact direction of where I can purchase your plans for a scratch build of this magnificent retro lined beauty. Probably sounds like I'm raving a bit, but this would have to be almost the ultimate for what we do! I think I saw something mentioned about from 'your hobby shop'? I have had a look and haven't worked out how or where that is? ... Many thanks and appreciate your work, regards Greg
