Fun fact, the Z in DBZ is an anime only thing. The manga is just called Dragonball all the way through from start to finish, but the anime staff wanted an image change for the second half. After being tasked with coming up with a new title, the author picked Z because its the last letter of the alphabet and it was meant to have an "end to the series" vibe.

The reason I know this fact is actually because I was watching a RubberRoss video a few days ago and he brought up the "It was supposed to be a 2, but someone screwed up" version and I couldn't help doing a fact check. Turns out there's been a bunch of fan theories over the years, but the alphabet one was confirmed in an interview with Toriyama.
