A hiker decided to go on a hike by himself. Something he was not very used to. The whole day was normal. Trees and bushes engulfed his surroundings. He enjoyed being outdoors in the mountains. Nothing seemed strange to him, that was until he was making his way back to his car. He figured an eight hour hike was good enough. The sky was already getting dark and he needed to get back, fast. What was odd was how much he didn’t recognize the trail back. He began to panic. Night had already taken over and all he had was a flashlight and no clue on how to get back. He knew it was already too late and too dangerous to keep going through the perilous forest. He began to worry that he would have no shelter for the night when almost luckily enough, he stumbled across a broken-down cabin. It was dark, and seemed like no one had visited it in years, but he knew it was the only place where he could rest until daylight, especially since his flashlight was running out of battery. He knocked on the door a few times but no one answered, so he let himself in where strangely enough, a perfect bed fitted for one person awaited him in the center. He knew that if the owner came back he could explain himself, he was sure that the owner wouldn’t mind, or was even probably dead. So he went ahead and got himself comfortable in bed. As he tried to sleep, he couldn’t ignore the collection of paintings around the room; portraits of strange looking people all peering at him, each wearing a smile that sent chills up his spine. Not too long after his exhaustion from the hike got the best of him and he was able to ignore the faces. The next morning he got up early and was shocked to see that there were no paintings around the room, but windows…

For context Eddie Those people you followed through the back hallways of the mall were more than likely workers. I used to work in the mall and the hallways are used by employees so they don’t have to fight through crowds and makes taking out trash and other items easier lol. Most mall workers don’t have to wear uniforms unless they are security or work in food service

@@-aid4084 well, also it doesn't really help or solve your issue. like, take this guy and his camera setup in his office. he's hallucinating a phantom person and then checking the camera for confirmation, but his brain just hallucinated a whole person in his hallway, why couldn't/wouldn't his brain also just work on that assumption/delusion and also hallucinate that the person is in the footage? you know the footage is correct, but you literally have a condition that makes you see things that aren't there as a common symptom, so how do you know you're perceiving the footage as it actually is? it's a neat trick to try and help, but ultimately you STILL can't know for sure, short of asking someone else if they see it too, but he's alone. he really has no choice but to just accept that it's probly a hallucination and then either ignore it, tell it to kick rocks, or engage with it. he went with telling it to kick rocks.

@@gourdguru i'm no expert with schizophrenic hallucinations, but I don't think the brain is capable of extrapolating what it thinks is an intruder onto a different image of the same room and being able to do so accurately, because it's both a different perspective, different lighting, and a flat screen of red, blue and green pixels arranged in a repeating pattern. There's too much detail loss on a screen.

as a person who has had hallucinations due to an illness i can tell you its....wierd...... and they can take the form of practically anything and they are so realistic, my first ever hallucination that i can remember having was when i was around 5-6 and boulders materialised through the roof and onto me, for the rest of the night i had to sleep in my moms bed with her constantly soothing me for hours until i passed out from either fear or exhaustion, the next one i had was an all black spiders main body and face with out the back part and three long spiney insectoid legs, one at the back and one either side of its face, giving off black smoke about 2ft tall running from behind a coffee table and legged it behind the arm of the sofa and then just disappeared, i ended up having arachnaphobia for a few years thinking it would come back

I know this might sound unbelievable, since my experiences are quite weird, but I explore abandoned buildings. I do not have any videos or pictures, since I don't like filming myself or so. While me and my friend were exploring the vandalized factory in switzerland, we found a pentagram on the 1st or 2nd floor (It's been a few months so I can't remember properly), and there was a pentagram drawn on the floor. Me and my friend didn't think much of it, since we just assumed it was just random and nothing special, but as we were exploring, we found dry blood and sharp knife-like objects. While so, I was on the phone and I was showing them around on video chat. My friend that we were talking on the phone with. We left when we heard some people, since we weren't sure if we were trespassing, but we made the mistake of returning again and while I was drawing some silly doodles on the wall, a bottle suddenly exploded. I looked to my friend and asked her what she did, since she was breaking many glass around, but that bottle was a few meters away from her. We were both freaked out and left as soon as we could. The whole ride back to our home, we felt uncomfortable and eerie. The next few days I felt uncomfortable in general, and one night I heard a sigh in my ear, but my ear was twoards the wall and the door was on the other side of the room. I don't know if it was just my paranoia, but I was freaked out for a long while. I know my story may sound fake or stupid, and even I am questioning it if my experience was just a coincidence, but I still wonder if there was someone or something there, watching us from the shadows..
