Man yall had the same luck we had. Wind and rain and no fish. The lake was a good 5foot high. That's what really hurt us. But it was a fun week. Thanks for the video.

Yeah there’s no shortage of water in that lake. And it got hammered with a bunch while we were there 😂 Thanks for watching!

Seems as though you stayed closer to the cabin after that first run. I could see the RT 60 bridge in the one shot. Bass Pro is a long ride from there, about the same distance to Palm Bay as Port St Lucie. Weather for sure has been a problem this year. Wind is the big issue for me. Direction more so than speed, due to the ramp being shut due to weed blockage. Getting off the trailer is one thing, getting back on quite another, especially being alone. I need the wind to be out of the west or north or a combination of that.

The wind is atrocious this season!

Speck fishing has always been hit or miss for me. They are so darn finicky and a challenge for sure.

If you have bad luck on the lake go through the lock and try the river sometimes they are hiding deep
@brentallenoutdoorsfl Жыл бұрын
Yeah many years back we went through that south lock and got into a huge mess of them in a canal

Stinks about the weather. How are you liking that tree thumper rod? I have a couple ACC and was looking to pick up something else to add to the arsenal for Lake O.
@brentallenoutdoorsfl Жыл бұрын
Ya know, it’s so close to an ACC I can’t say it’s really worth it if you already are using ACCs. It’s only slightly lighter, but it is cheaper. So there’s that. I’ve been on my Ozark Hybrid non-stop though. That’s a great balanced rod right there. Much lighter but you can still muscle those fish out of tight cover.

@@brentallenoutdoorsflI picked up a 10ft tree thumper at fast break and I gotta tell ya it is awesome. Honestly, I think I like it better than the ACC. It’s more sensitive and not as stiff as the ACC. Did me well catchin a limit on Thursday. Big fish was 1.70. Just hope it holds up flipping fish into the boat since it is not as stiff as the ACC. Might pick up an 11ft model now.

Hey, You guys still use that CatchCounter? Everything good with that?
@brentallenoutdoorsfl11 ай бұрын
Hey Tony! Yeah they’ve been pretty good! We don’t use them every trip, but they do get used quite a bit. Other than needing to tighten them occasionally they’ve been holding up well. You guys got anything new in the works?
@tonysebastiano872911 ай бұрын
Nothing really new, just a few variations on existing products. New MegaCool is a 52qt beauty I have on Ebay. Catch-Count-Cool! Some other ideas in the works too. We enjoy watching your videos, makes winter slide by a little quicker!

What was the fish at 17 minutes?
@brentallenoutdoorsfl Жыл бұрын
Twas a Myan Cichlid. Non native fish that’s pretty abundant in South Florida.
