a few months ago, i fell in love. with the taste of 7 am coffee from food trucks and the selflessness stitched into the hearts of those who carry you for miles in the back of their truck without asking for anything in return. the feeling of collapsing into bed at night after climbing trees and running through forests barefoot until the last sliver of sunlight melts beneath crystalline waters. i fell in love with moments that steal the breath from your lungs. the unspoken whispers of this moonrise kingdom. the ebb and flow....the curiosity of being. of interconnection with all that is. i fell in love with life. with living. learned to belong in a place where people call one another by their first name and make time for stories. for love. for family. this little island cradled my spirit and caused oceans to spill from my eyes. wrapped itself around my finger. flew back to los angeles and woke up in a concrete jungle...mind whirling...questioning everything. the story i was carrying was no longer my own. it's funny...how your plan can crumble into nothingness. just like that. I found myself calling my mom and telling her that i would be moving to hawaii by april. she responded with a softly whispered, "i know." and...i did. watched as my world dissolved to ashes. in a matter of a few days, i gave away nearly everything i owned, booked a one way ticket to hawaii, and somehow managed to fit my entire life into a bag and a suitcase filled with my paintings and prints. no plan. no direction. and somehow, i found myself here. I still have little to no idea where i am going. what i am doing. and the truth is....no one does. if you wait for the right time...you will always be waiting. so learn to hunger for uncertainty...be hurled into an unseen abyss. letting go...this will turn your cage to liquid and allow this world to pour in. freedom lingers at the edge of your fear. and life is worth more than the rules of a story that do not belong to you. never in a million years did i see myself painting for a living and moving to an eternal neverland in the center of an ocean. i suppose this is what courage does to you...it gives you wings.

I really admire the way you want to live your life, but I just have some questions-- totally nonjudgemental but out of curiosity: How is this a cure? What if everyone lived this way, how would anyone be helped or help others? Or in other words, how does this make you contribute to society? If everybody thought there were no rules on this little globe, where would be the doctors to save others' lives, where would the lady be that made your headband, or where would the AAA guy be to fix your car that broke down? When I saw that you had updated, I literally, kid you not, started screaming to my mom: "oh my god. my favorite youtuber updated! she updated! Not just one, but two videos!" Of course, my mom just gave me a strange look. So, I got a plate of sweet pickles out, a mason jar of water (learned from yours truly), and I am ready to breathe in your stay at Hawaii. I have been waiting for this video since you posted your last video. You're 19, and I feel so empowered when I watch you because I'm 19 too. I feel like I'm going through this journey of life with a friend. Actually, I've almost found it hard to watch 'normal' youtube channels because I don't want toxic ideas ruining what you, and my inner self, have shown me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
