Honestly, if they wanted to turn Ariana into a villain and explain why the boys are so obsessed without making her seem too heartless, just say that her mom put a spell on her when she was a baby that naturally makes her very lovable. This spell often overrides common sense or logic and forces those who spend too much time around her to love her. So she got everything she wanted from her father who quite literally couldn't say no to her (or if you don't want to rid the man of all blame for raising this girl, he was also aware of the spell and consciously gave her everything she wants) So when she noticed that people just love her no matter what, she became spoiled and tested her "charms" on Whitey(I don't know the dude's actual name). It worked and he put up no fight seeing as he was already spending a lot of time with her, being her soldier and all. And slowly her powers drew others in. Where she truly goes into villainy are the two that didn't immediately give in. That's when her active actions took two innocent men away from their loved ones and she truly gives into her spoiled nature. If the brother is the hero of the story, the story ends with the brother being able to negate Ariana's spell, setting all five men free from her once and for all. The four from different countries go back home, the soldier retires and Ariana is told why things always go well for her. She's left alone with the consequences of both her and her parents' actions and the looming threat of being imprisoned or executed only for the true hero of the story to simply send her away from the kingdom with some food, some money and some essential items. Ariana is given a second chance to truly earn her life instead of just being given a life.

But what differentiates a good story from a bad one, is acknowledging that their actions are in fact terrible and should never be done again. They should get their comeuppance, they should be punished for their horrible actions. Or if they don’t, the end should make sure to show how the terrible charcter’s good ending was actually terrible for the rest of the world and the worst ending. That’s what makes a good story that follows a terrible character. That’s good writing. This is not that.

I painstakingly read the rest of the webtoon out of curiosity of what happened to Bobby (I should’ve stayed curious). The poor guy literally gets SA’d and traumatized. He manages to escape the jewel box (like the chad that he is) but ends up getting forced back in through a stupid conflict that DEFINITELY was not just there for Ariana to get her way. I honestly hope Bobby and Hector get together and revolt against Ariana (they get some unnecessarily zesty scenes in the later chapters) but that probably won’t happen any time soon.

Honestly, I hated the webtoon but was also oddly invested. Thinking back now it was problaly the only 100% female power fantasy that I can remember. With the amount of male power fantasy I have read sometimes with horrible mc that also own slaves occasionally, I don't hate its existence. It also reminds me that young boys have sexual fanservice and girls well not really.

Or even the guy with blue hair, who was just forced being there. Scrap this two, add more storyline, maybe some self reflection of MC and story would be OK. Not great, just OK. @@pinkysparcle6536 what I meant is that there are many generic male protagonist of harem series that are super popular but I don't think I can think of the nearly as much when it comes to female protagonist. When stories for a female audience are bad but are loved by said audience they get crisised but male power fantasies especially when it comes to anime, manga and manhwa are booming even though they can have the worse protagonist they even have fans who acknowledge that the stories are generic, not the best and power fantasies but enjoy it non the less. When a female character is similiar they are power fantasies I'm the worse way possible, girl bosses, strong independent women in a bad way of course, Mary sues and badly written female characters

i read like four or five episodes of this when it came out and i had to drop it immediately, i usually go on webtoon for canvas manga or comics to begin with but. even for webtoon this was AWFUL. big hell nah on readability, the main character is so insufferable constantly, the webtoon commenters are as usual insane and lack basic reading comprehension, and the plot is barely even coherent it's really just an ariana is always right every single time fest. it's miserable. i'd recommend NEVER touching it with a ten foot pole. even the art which is .. not bad? but pretty heavy on objectification from the way characters bodies are drawn, is NOT worth it. romance manhwa is largely character driven with the two main leads and although i'd like to hope reverse or regular harem can be done well this one is HORRIBLE, the only real main lead is just so unlikable. DO NOT READ THIS MANHWA, I AM SAYING THIS FOR YOUR SANITY'S SAKE.

The fact that in the later episode, the Yandere girl got arrested and Ariana taught her some lesson and the Yandere girl said “You are no different than me. You took him in against his will.” And Ariana kept yapping her excuses about what she did wasn’t wrong, but if the Yandere girl did, it’s wrong. I literally rolled my eyes when I read that scene. Also, even after Jade (Bobby) got rescued by Ariana, he still didn’t fall for her and asked her to let him go home. I feel like this dude is the only one with common sense, but of course, the story plot would do something to make him come back to Ariana’s kingdom afterwards.

I can't believe I am saying this but the basic ass male harem protagonist is suddenly a lot more likeable because at least most of them care about the people around them and consider their feelings (well, except when applied to being attracted to him) which is usually how some of them fell for the guy in the first place. But there is nothing going on for this reverse harem to even make it slightly believable. Hell, the series The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs actually has a reverse harem structure to its society and a side character who knows how ro make each of rhe guys fall in love with her and even share her because she has meta knowledge about them. We know she is a deceptive bitch but we also kind of see how the guys ended up with her but then there is THIS.
