Been following house works for a while, if I had the money I would have already got one of these grinders. They're top quality if you build em right.

Love it man! I was actually looking at this grinder kit and thinking I would love to be able to do it, as well as afford it. I haven't been making for very long, but I think the right tools are essential to doing "good work quicker". Sure, I can make a knife that looks decent with my current setup, but this would be amazing! I think the best part was this week it will be easier to do, as I found a 3 phase motor with a belt pulley / wheel attached already and has the VMD with it, that they said I could have! I think that's half the expense right there, so I am getting excited! Love this series, and ALL your series man. I said it before, but your videos are my go to for "how to do" basically everything in making. Thanks for the awesome content, I plan on being a patron soon!

That is really cool you scored the motor and vfd! The kit from Brian isn't expensive at all compared to buying one. You could also buy the plans and source your own steel but unless you have access to a good scrap yard I think your money ahead to buy the kit. I have seen people build this grinder with cheap thin wall steel to ING and it just isn't going to last or be rigid enough. I would gladly welcome you into the group over on patreon! I am opening a townsquare where we can all talk and share ideas

@@Aleeknives That is so awesome, and I look forward to being part of the team. I would GLADLY pay money to help support you because I believe in your work, and I also believe in your methods. I couldn't believe I scored the motor and VFD either, it's almost like it was meant to be or something, so i am STOKED to get it all going! Looking forward to joining up soon!

Looking forward to the series! Bought the plans for this a while ago and I gotta say, I wish I would of bought the laser cut kit. I have about 300 bucks wrapped up in just the steel alone, and after cutting out the d plate and the motor bracket I feel like what he wants for the bundle is well worth the money. For anyone having a hard time sourcing the heavy wall tubing, I was able to find it at my local welding shop that does business in custom trailers/hitch receivers. Hope this helps someone out there!

@@mcrich1978 This is a fun build, I didn't even own a welding machine and I purchased a Hobart 190 welding machine and a HouseWork kit and it was still cheaper than most machines. I never MIG welded or fabricated before just KZbind it... It was much fun.. Now I have 2 tools..
