Being from the West, America, and I have only taken a year or so of higher education, so just about the only history we ever learned was Western Civilization (European history) and U.S. history. And, so, largely due to my overall lack of knowledge about the areas/peoples/times, I am beyond fascinated in histories of places besides Europe. The Middle East is at the top of that list. As this documentary makes abundantly clear, Islam is an absolute treasure trove.

@@abuamanah9176 we can criticize ourselves, you can only criticize us islam is nothing but our enemy, we only learned the bad things from you like making big and useless claims, but we criticized that too and we changed: we have a realistic image of religion because of your sect: you made us consider the creation myth, we created modern science, we checked it and rejected it. Then we entered the Enlightenment, we destroyed the myth of a god creating heavens and earth, the myth of Ada and Eve, the myth of a god punishing us for our sins: „Gott ist tot! Gott bleibt tot! Und wir haben ihn getötet.“ And by killing the all knowing creator we ended the darkness and stopped debating, and we expelled religion and beliefs from our politics, art, science and justice systems, there are no absolute truths in religion, that is the truth that sets us free we learned a lot from the suffocating, backward "Influence of Islam in Medieval Europe", Black Death, invasions, wars and theological fanaticism, your sect was a mirror to us and made us change ourselves. @@worfoz Your enemy? According to The Encyclopaedia Britannica: “Most of the classical literature that spurred the European Renaissance was obtained from translations of Arabic manuscripts in Muslim libraries.” (1984), Vol. 15, p. 646. Bertrand Russell in ‘History of Western Philosophy,’ London, 1948, p. 419. "Our use of phrase 'The Dark ages' to cover the period from 699 to 1,000 marks our undue concentration on Western Europe... "From India to Spain, the brilliant civilization of Islam flourished. What was lost to Christendom at this time was not lost to civilization, but quite the contrary..."To us it seems that West-European civilization is civilization, but this is a narrow view." Professor, Reverend, W. Montgomery Watt reminds us in The Influence of Islam on Medieval Europe (Edinburgh: University Press, 1972: “It is clear that the influence of Islam on Western Christendom is greater than is usually realized. Not only did Islam share with Western Europe many material products and technological discoveries; not only did it stimulate Europe intellectually in the fields of science and philosophy; but it provoked Europe into forming a new image of itself. Because Europe was reacting against Islam, it belittled the influence [of Muslim scholarship].... So today, an important task for our Western Europeans, as we move into the era of the one world, is to correct this false emphasis and to acknowledge fully our debt to the Arab and Islamic world." Tim Wallace Murphy, A Templar Historian wrote a book called What Islam Did For Us, on page 215 sums up as follows: "even the brief study of history revealed in these pages demonstrates that the European culture owes an immense and immeasurable debt to the world of Islam. Muslim scholars preserved and enhanced the learning of ancient Greece, laid the foundation for modern science, medicine, astronomy and navigation and inspired some of our greatest cultural achievements. If it were not for the inherent tolerance for the People of the Book that was manifest within the Islamic World for over 15 centuries, it is highly doubtful that the Jewish people could have survived as a racial and religious entity, and we would have lost their contribution to art, medicine, science, literature and music which is almost beyond measure. We in the West owe a debt to the Muslim world that can never be fully repaid. Despite our common religious and spiritual roots, we have thanked them with centuries of mistrust, the brutality of the crusades and imperial takeover that conducted with callous indifference to the needs of the peoples we exploited"

@@abuamanah9176 so, wow, you quote the " The Encyclopaedia Britannica". We know Britannia's post-colonial narrative, and it's part of our discourse. Nice to see you highlight this position. Muhamedans love to agree with us when we criticize ourselves. But then you stop thinking: alla knows best. You love yourself and indulge in praising yourself. This is the BIG difference between your sect and the religions of the Jews and Christians: we live by "give credits to those who deserve it". You live by the rule "Praise us or we will accuse, slander and attack you". There are lots of westerners and even Christians that respectfully study you, your beliefs, your history and your achievements, we don't need to praise ourselves or your beliefs. We have science. We have debates. We have many many truths, discourses, we debate. So when you quote westerners on islam, you use your mindset of being superior because of your islam. But all muhamedans are always wrong thinking like that: these are questions to us, but absolute answers to you. We CONSIDER your claims but that does not mean we blindly accept them as The Truth. You can quote one western scientists saying things you like to hear BUT you hate the fact that to us, it's just one of the many opinions. If you read that "the European culture owes an immense and immeasurable debt to the world of Islam" you have your truth and you demand credits from all of us. Calm down: to us it's just one opinion of one if us, not a great and glorious victory of islam over Christianity.... We criticize EVERYTHING, even our OWN history, our bible, our god and our truths. It may seem like we agree, since muhamedans criticize us too But you completely miss the point: we don't accept any belief as perfect, not even our own, but that does NOT mean we think your islam is perfect. we know about our bible, we know it's man made but that does NOT mean we believe your quran is from god we look back at our Middle Ages and history and we're glad we've changed but that does NOT mean we regret not being like you are now. some whites have this white mans burden but most of us are not racists, we don't feel guilty towards our mortal enemies all the timer. But we consider it, we debate it, we evaluate it. we fight our prejudices, you fight our beliefs but we also fight YOUR prejudices and you hate us for that. So you love to hear some of us regret the Crusades but you need us to ignore the many invasions and conquests by muslim warriors of the Christian Byzantine empire and many other attacks and wars: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGTOgXeqZrusqsk So yes, we look at things from both sides, and that confuses you, now you think we ONLY look at our faults and agree with you about the superiority and perfection of your sect islam. But in reality: when we watched you abusing the creation myth islam stole from our bible, then we examined that myth critically, and we now reject this myth in OUR bible AND we reject all the claims the Church based on that myth: if god did not create earth an mankind, as our science proved, we expel god from our politics and science. Not only our god, but your alla as well. Don't get fooled by a few orientalists, people who romanticize islam and it's 1001-myths. We have them, they have freedom of speech but the vast majority of westerners don't love islam because we reject the Church, we reject islam with much more conviction, you call that islamophobia, but we criticize EVERYTHING, not ONLY our enemies. Seems like you muhamedan are too blind to see that. Thing is: you need US as your enemy, we don't need you, we never did. And that hurts you and your pride.

@ziaali319 2 жыл бұрын
@@Fiscals_Organics You do realize that is precisely what every other major religion does (except for a few exceptions). Let's look at the monotheistic ones, do you think christians or jews recognize other religions as true belief, when that would be disproving their own? Now as for your latter claim, that is just ridiculous. There is absolutely no passage of Qu'ran or Hadith that support what you have claimed. Now, to be fair, I will admit that there are certain groups of people who use Islam as a disguise, to do violence. Those people however are not muslim, as simple as that. They are simply people trying to establish their political, racial and prejudicial views through violence.
