Same old takes about Purdy that show you're not actually watching the games. Yea, the 49ers are disappointing, but, this season more than the last two has shown Purdy IS that guy. They're not losing because of him. If he didn't play, they wouldn't even be in these games. The offensive issues weren't because CMC wasn't there (those of us watching could tell you that's a bad take, they didn't have these redzone issues without him in the past), this is all Kyle trying to outsmart DCs but just outsmarting himself instead. Purdy still getting numbers with Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall as his two WRs (because Deebo has been MIA, not sure if he's healthy or not but he's not doing much on game day) shows he's not the problem.

The reason I’d have SF higher on this list is that this is their last season with Purdy at super cheap contract. This was their last best chance to win with him. I expect the Niners will pay him and keep him and as a result, some of their other stars will leave and it’ll be that much harder to compete for the SB. They can do it, but the window is closing.

Burrow has played better than any QB by a MILE. Yet they’re finding new ways to lose and it’s very impressive. Blame management.. they haven’t handled the Chase situation well at all; they still have a mediocre Oline, the defense has several weaknesses in the secondary along with depth/MLB, and they have one of the top 5 worst RB situations in the league. What a mistake it was letting Mixon go. Mix has been a top 5 RB all year and is turning into the focal point of the Texans offense. He would have been critical for the Bengals because he would take so much pressure off Joe and create soooooo much more balance which would make this offense even better!! Idk if they should fire Taylor but I would strongly consider it. They need to focus the draft/free agency on the trenches and RB, add a CB and S as well.

I think the 9ers are my #1 most disappointing team. For the past few years they were widely regarded as the best team in football. Idk what happened to them but they look weak now. Bengals are my #2 team. Jets #3. Cowboys #4. And despite their record, Chiefs #5. Without some ref help their record could look very different. Mahomes looks pedestrian. Impact players aren’t having much an impact. It just seems like they’re more wrapped up in all the side shows than they are in football. I would like for them to be the first team to 3-peat just so my favorite HC (Andy Reid) can have that under his belt, but they’re looking like frauds this year despite the talent on that roster. One more: Bears. They looked better (maybe? Or just as ineffective..) with Justin Fields and less weapons on offense. They tooled up on offense and got better on D but still look disjointed af. And sure we could point at the O-line woes as THE problem, but that’d just take us back to the same problem with Fields’ stint, only he had less weapons lol

Jets are more of a disappointment than the Cowboys. 1. Majority of media was making the jets sb favorites or at least contenders the min Rodgers signed a contract for the jets. 2. Jerry in terms of getting talent for the team the past decade has been phenomenal…. Minus this year, which is the issue. Their offenses and defenses have been near the top in recent years, but the “coach hiring” part of the GM side Jerry has struggled with, and McCarthy is the least Innovative coach on the league. But when this past year Dallas didn’t really Improve, they lost people, nobody really had high expectations for them. And that’s why the jets disappointment should pretty much be 1st on the list.

FFS. Brock Purdy has started 35 games so far. For those keeping track, that just two seasons worth of starts at this point. Why on Earth are we talking about the guy like he's not enough of a standout player to carry a team, and needs talent around him when A) that's true everywhere you go in the NFL and B) He's started fewer games then Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones and only one more game than Justin Fields - does anyone anywhere ever talk about those players in the same vein?
