Damn right. #1 defense over the back half of the year, including All Pro performance by their MLB Spillane, added Christian Wilkins, upgraded the offensive line with JPJ and a stud (both blocking and receiving) in Brock Bowers, Zamir White averaged 100 rushing yards per game when he started, added Mattison for depth, and AOC ended the year with 9 TDs to 1 INT in his last 6 games. His last 4 games were 8 TD to 0 INT with a passer rating of about 99. Watch out for LV.

same thought. so its the list of the worst teams in the nfl last year..... not a sleeper list. im a pack fan but the bears are my sleeper. the bears outplayed the lions twice. 2nd half of the season, it was one of the best team, specially on defense. the issue is that, outside of the afc north, that might be the toughest division.

They finished 2nd in their division behind the Chiefs, 8-9 with a handful of very close losses that could've easily gone the other way, they had a top 10 defense which was #1 in points allowed over the last 9 games (after AP was hired as head coach), in those games they were 5-4 and competitive in all of the losses, and they were 23rd in points scored on the year, but that went up by about 7 points per game in the new regime.

Yes, the Raiders are being slept on. They will make the playoffs this season, they will have a top 5 defense. Someone made the point that if Justin Herbert was our QB, with our roster, we'd be considered a contender, (Like they love to call the Chargers EVERY year) and yet with a 2nd year QB who played extremely well and showed a lot of promise under tough circumstances, we're ranked dead last in the league with players like Crosby, Adams, Meyers, Mayer, Wilkins, Hobbs, Epps, etc. and a draft class with a host of award winning and record setting college ballers like Bowers, JPJ, Dylan Laube, and Trey Taylor.

Raiders had the #1 defense the second half of 2023 (after Pierce took over as head coach), they kept almost every single starter except Amik Robertson at CB and added Christian Wilkins to what will be the best D Line in the league. Their offensive line kept all the starters except the upgrade at Guard from Van Roten to Jackson Powers-Johnson on a top 10 O Line, plus added the offensive weapon of Bowers - who can block like crazy and receive like a wide-out, and yes, lost Jacobs, but Zamir looked like an absolute stud when he took over as the starter - averaging about 100 yards rushing per game. Added Mattison as a nice backup. And people are absolutely sleeping on AOC at QB. He finished his last 6 games of the year with 9 TDs to 1 INT. That included Passer Ratings of 101 (against the super stingy Chiefs), 120, 96 & 110). His last 4 games were 8 TDs to 0 INTs for a passer rating of about 99/game. Watch his highlights from last year and tell me he can't sling it. Someone find me a weakness on this team. They even have amazing coaching in AP, Marvin Lewis, Patrick Graham, Rob Ryan, Cadillac Williams, etc. I'm not saying they're Super Bowl bound but nobody should be shocked if they go to the playoffs with a top 5 defense and a top 15 offense. Edit: somehow forgot to mention the best special teams unit in the league by far. AJ Cole (P) and Daniel Carlson (K) are both All Pros.

If the Titans run Pollard on the outside, he will have way more success than he did in Dallas last year. Dallas kept trying to run him in between the tackles. Most of his big runs came from pitches to the outside where he could pick up speed and make a man miss.

People say ANYONE can jump into that offense. People forget how bad Minshew underthrew in his Jaguars "highlight" videos. Hurts actually has a bigger arm than him. Minshew has a quicker trigger and can read a little better, but he chokes harder and can't play above himself like Foles and Hurts can. Minshew will throw for 5 TD's and then throw a perfect choke INT. "If he would just get a chance..." He's had a bunch. He's a backup QB. Deal with it. 😂

There are a few too many "ifs" in there, for the Bears and more. It's one thing to say, "If this happens, this team can win." It's quite another to say, "If the QB is rookie of the year, and if the offense completely flips the script, and if the defense also plays far better than expected..." I mean, what more is there? Special teams?

It'll take a year or two to get rid of the dead wood that he's stuck with because he couldn't get rid of all the players he doesn't like. If they had the cap room I think you would have seen more turnover. That'll be next year and if they can't gather enough Harbaugh guys it could even take two years, that's why I said they/re a year or two away.

Discounting the sparse play with the 49ers... This is easily the best O-line that Darnold has played behind, and they are not elite by any means. It could definitely go better than most people think it wil.
